All you need to tell the rep is you have a broken camera or one needed repair and would like to upgrade with the loyalty program. You will have to provide your canon camera model number and the serial number.
Just placed my order. Be aware the EF/EF-S adapter ring is out of stock if you need it.
The deal has been going on for a while with the camera gone out of stock quickly.
Just to note that I talked to two reps in recent days. The first one just asked for a serial number and my old camera model before giving me the loyalty discount. The second one insisted that the old camera has to be broken or need repairs before qualify for the 10% loyalty discount. A simply upgrade of an old working camera will not give me 10% discount...... So be prepared to say that your working camera is broken when asking the reason of the upgrade.
