Spicy food has been present in Asian cuisine for as long as there has been a need to cook; Thai food is stereotypically spicy so don't single out South Korea by correlating diet with the prospect of gastrointestinal dysfunction

Irritation by excessive amounts is dangerous but there are always aspects of eating in moderation to very single good thing; spicy food giving endorphins and capsaicin for antioxidants promotes mood and healthier eating habits by perhaps eating lesser in a given setting by making it not as much of an incentive to over eat
My wife and I went to a remote village in Northern Thailand, had some time to kill and we were hungry, so we asked the hostel where my wife and I could get lunch. They gave us a local spot. We almost died that day the food was so spicy. Of course we couldn't read the menu and the waitstaff did not speak English so we just randomly pointed to stuff on the menu. Everyone told us not to drink the tap water so we must have ordered 20 bottles of water between the two of us.

shifting from your diet suddenly to very spicy foods and vice versa can also cause issues such as stomach ulcers. my Malaysian friend used to always eat spicy growing up but after changing diet for a couple years outside the country something triggered and now any spicy food even slight spice causes ulcers.

Bought this last time it was on sale. I like the "noodle" but didn't like the sauce that came with it. I'll buy it again

I once had a gf that was cooking chicken in a frying pan. She poured habanero powder into it and didn't put a top on it. I came in from work and my cats were making gagging noises. I was like WTF!? Then it hit me, lungs on fire. She was for the streets anyways. Big booty though.

Awesome, just ordered some and hopefully mixing it with the sweet chili version will make it more tolerable spice wise. I also got $3 digital rewards for a slow shipping.

Spicy food does not cause ulcers but can exacerbate the symptoms.

The extra crazy spicy Korean food trend (like Buldak) needs to stop. I'm not hating on spicy foods but some of this stuff is not edible. The prevalence of stomach and colorectal cancers in South Korea should be a forewarning.

Plus colonoscopies and endoscopies in general are not as commonly done as they are in Korea.
As a white guy, the Buldak stuff isn't spicy until you get up to the 2x and 3x stuff, and they're generally very good flavor. Stuff like Shin Ramen and the Buldak have a nice taste to them, and definitely outdo a lot of the more common US stuff in terms of both flavor and heat (all of the brands trying to release 'ghost pepper' chips, salsas and soups/ramens). The 3x are my limit and reach that point where it feels they're going for just the heat and not the flavor, but the lesser extremes (Shin and it's variants, and Buldak (and the 2x if you like spice)) are actually pretty enjoyable

I think the truffle sauce has to be kimchi flavor. Picking the gojuchang would mess it up.

Interesting to try at this price. Make sure to add two of the single quantity, not the pack of two.
