TravelPro is known to be a pretty good brand. you should review the dimensions just to be sure bc the carry on is slightly bigger than the standard domestic size but I've never had a problem with mine flying on the major airlines.

you are not buying from Costco but the brand directly with a special discount, so the normal Costco return policy does not apply and you would not be getting the 2% benefit through the executive membership or citi card .
I like mines. it's definitely not as flimsy as the Samsonite and Delsey sets I saw in Costco, even though they're also made of Polycarb. My only concern when I bought it was the carry on size. Most airlines will says their carry on limits are 22x14x9, and this one is 23x14.5x9.5, but I've taken it on the major airlines (America, Delta, Southwest and Alaska), and haven't had any problems putting it in the overhead bin.

If you primarily travel internationally, this will most likely be too big for most airlines.

How does buying through Costco Next show up on a credit card statement? I have the AMEX promotion and am seriously considering this.
AMEX offer does not pop. Had it in my card, ordered through Costco next, and the Amex offer did not apply. Still a good deal on quality luggage!

I've always traveled with a backpack internationally, but looking for something more durable like this. Are airlines that strict about the difference?

Cabin Max for international. It's the largest backpack style that flies in EU airlines

it really comes down to the airline. If you travel internationally on say America or Delta, it will usually fit, and if not, you can check the bag in for free at the gate. but if you're traveling a low cost carrier such as Lufthansa or Norse, there is a chance that it might not fit in the overhead bin since those planes are usually smaller, and you might have to pay to check in the bag at the gate.

My IT 30 inch is like 7 pounds

This is through Costco next. The policy on the travelpro site says 100 days for returns and lifetime warranty

They show the height and the length but not the width?

I bought it during the last sale and it has been good for me. Bit on the heavier side but wheels are buttery smooth and feels well built.

Costco has the samsonit element xlt on sale. Do you have a link verifying its polycarb? I can find that information nowhere.

I haven't seen the XLT in store. The one I saw was the amplitude. I just checked online and they're both on sale, but only the amplitude set is polycarbonate.

Good luggage, but where TravelPro really excels are the softsides, those things earned their reputation. Haven't seen them come up on Costco Next, though

Did you spend $300? The offer needs to hit $300.

Went to double check the offer because I was thinking of getting the set. Offer details show purchase must be made at travelpro.com and these are on the Costco Next site. $30 off $150 though.
