you are not buying from Costco but the brand directly with a special discount, so the normal Costco return policy does not apply and you would not be getting the 2% benefit through the executive membership or citi card .
If you primarily travel internationally, this will most likely be too big for most airlines.
Luggage companies, as good as some are, still require you to personally bring damaged luggage to a limited number of repair facilities across the country, or have it shipped at your own expense to them to asses whether the damage is "covered" before they possibly replace or repair and ship it back to you.
If you live far from a repair center, it's expensive to ship such a large item to them to do that assessment, and even then, they might reject your claim and have you pay for them to ship it back to you unrepaired.
TravelPro's warranty for the Roundtrip product line DOES include ONE YEAR of "worry-free" damage claims (which they pay for shipping of the suitcase to/from their repair centers, and covers damages caused by mishandling of an airline) BUT ONLY if you register for their extended warranty within 120 days of purchase. Again, this extended warranty is ONLY valid for ONE YEAR. After that, airline-caused damages are NOT covered, AND you have to get the suitcase to them at your own expense to assess for warranty applicability/deniability for repairs at their discretion.
Since this deal is through TravelPro and not sold directly by Costco (as some previous members mentioned already), Costco's near-unlimited return policy does NOT apply to this deal, so you have to deal everything through TravelPro.
I personally would rather buy a suitcase through Costco direct, so that if/when it does break, I can take it back to ANY Costco and get it exchanged or refunded, virtually with no time limitation since it's considered a durable good.
Even if you don't buy from Costco, you can buy second-rate suitcases at discount retail stores like Ross for the same price it would be to ship a TravelPro suitcase to and from their repair centers. For the price of a TravelPro, you could buy 2 - 3 sets from Ross.
I've been bitten before by these so-called "lifetime warranties" from luggage companies, and they are far more hollow than they would have you believe, chocked full of asterisks and fine print limitations.

Edit: this is a pass-thru type of purchase, so I am not sure if the lack of acceptance of AMEX applies here.

Disappointing but still a good deal.
