Whatever you do, make sure you get the warranty. Bought xm4 ear buds from here and after a year or so they were affected by a very common issue (one side discharges very quickly) and there's no way to solve. Apparently xm5 are affected as well.

Fortunately they came with the 2 year all state warranty (now it's extra) and I got my money back in a couple of weeks

These are not refurbished, as they don't replace the battery or fix any issue with function whatsoever. They don't even test the units.



I received a pair where one of the earbuds had an 8min runtime. The return process was easy and they paid for shipping both ways. The replacement works great and meets my expectation.

The Linkbuds S for $48 is such a steal. Even $60 is an amazing deal. 90% of the XM4's sound quality minus the inevitable battery issue.

Anyone go from the WF-XM4 to XM5? I had the XM4 but switched to Linkbuds S, which fit my ears better and are much more comfortable. Curious is XM5 comfort had improved to level of the S's and if the NC & sound quality is significantly better.

You're gonna want the 2 year warranty on these.

These have garbage batteries. All three of our XM4s can't hold a charge, conveniently right around the 2 year warranty expiration. Learn my mistake, and redeem the warranty right before 2 years as they'll stop holding charges. Ours last about 30 minutes now tops.

I LOVED my Linkbuds S, until they decided to stop connecting. A firmware update that took me HOURS and like 75 tries to complete helped for a week, then they got even worse and I gave up on them. I'm tempted to grab another pair because they offer such a great balance of sound quality, comfort, ANC, battery life (until they get old), and amazing mics that make people think I'm not using earbuds on calls.

I needed something quick and couldn't decide so I cheaped out and got the Soundcore Space A40 for like $45 new. They sound surprisingly good and are small, light, and comfortable like the Linkbuds S. I'll probably go for XM5's eventually but these have me pretty satisfied for the time being.

This doesn't matter, but I see that KZ ZS-10's made that list, despite being wired and not having mics. I have them and think they're an absolute steal for $40, very well-balanced hifi sound. I'm curious about KZ newer wireless models (have another pair of wired KZ's that I like, too) but the reviews are all over the place, and I don't personally know anyone who has tried them. They're relatively cheap but I know I'll love the XM5's if I convince myself to spend the money.

Do you have those? I hadn't heard of them before, but I know I like balanced armature drivers. They look interesting, but I'm skeptical.

As a Oneplus phone owner, I'm also considering Oneplus Buds 3. Porbably not XM5-level sound or ANC, but most everyone seems to love them.

I have those earbuds and I hate it. Call quality is very poor. It hurts my ears. Now I only use Samsung buds 2 pro when I travel airplane. It help but for Sony ear buds very little difference in noise cancelations

Status between? Yeah. It's a Brooklyn based company, I bought them because all the hype on Reddit. The vocal is very accurate , bass is strong and deep but not as wide as Perl Pro. Other BA driver I had tried are : JLab epic lab edition : on sale every few weeks for $129. Soundcore Liberty 3 pro, I return those since I spend most time on Free Byrd and Perl pro. Now I am waiting for Cambridge M100 on sale.

NOTE： Jlab epic lab lightrnjng sale on Amazon now

My linkbuds S currently have battery issues. I get less than 2 hours from the left, 5 minutes from the right. They're great sound quality though

Really is a steal. They are my favorite, except I have that terrible whooshing noise in the left bud when anc or transparency mode is activated. At $48 it'd be worth it to not even use those modes

That is due to faulty firmware updates they push, just disable it next time as the same will happen to xm5.

There is a know battery issue that Sony does not accept so get that warranty coz soon no one will give these ones support due to battery problems.

FWIW, Sony cut me a check for the full price paid for my XM4s six months out of warranty and my receipt showed I bought from a third party on Amazon. Pretty legit by them. I bought XM5s and, honestly, think they suck in comparison to the XM4s. I like bass and felt the XM4s blew away all other earbuds. XM5s are so disappointing to me.
