Bestbuy credit card 15% back on opening day purchase I believe would give 7% more discount (assuming 8% tax that's saved at B&H payboo card). But the B&H deal is also great if only nothing new.

B&H previously only collected tax on NY/NJ purchases, because that's where they have a physical presence. As a result of a lawsuit, it now collects sales tax in additional states. Most-recent info I could find in a quick Google search indicates that, as of late-2018, the states affected are: Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Vermont, Washington (state), and Wisconsin.

Keep in mind that, legally speaking, if a website does not collect sales tax, the burden is then on the customer to report and pay the state sales tax, though I suspect that, in practice, very few customers actually do so.

EDIT: Just added something to my cart and went to checkout and saw that B&H did estimate 7% sales tax based on my ZIP (in Iowa). So I'm not sure that the list above is accurate.
