Funny how some managers refuse to discount display models bc it's "already discounted" lol
Because of hassle of customer might return the display model due to various reasons i.e damage during transport and burn in. It's easier for them to recycle the display rather than risk loosing money.
Scavengers really cleared out the local Target here. The TV shelves are completely empty. Must have had some really slick deals on all of the TVs. I passed on the 65 as I'm in the market for a 77" or 83" OLED.
Brickseek says 0 but the Target app says 1 - limited availability. Worth driving in the snow?
Well the local Target here used to say limited stock only 1 available. Now it says no longer sold at this store even though the display model is still there. So there is a possibility there may be one unless it is the display model. Is it worth it? If it were 5-10 minutes away like mine is I would check it out.
Snagged the last brand new one from the Arcadia Crossing store in Phoenix yesterday. Showed "unknown" in the app 2 in stock on the website so I gave it a shot. They had a bunch of boxes out, but none for the C3 so I thought I was out of luck. Finally asked a rep in electronics if they had one in the back and he said, a bit annoyed, "yes we have one, but it's $1300 not the $900 do you still want it?" I eventually decided I'd go for it still and it ended up ringing up for $999. Not sure if he was just trying to hold onto it and quoted the old price or if the clearance price finally got pushed that day (I went right at open) but it seems like if the site says more than 1 they probably have them in the back.
Nice! Glad you got it. They were probably annoyed because I was there for almost 2 hours on Wednesday bothering them until they price adjusted it to $999 for me. I must've called 8 different locations asking for one of them to confirm the price so the manager at Arcadia would adjust it accordingly. Was 100% worth my time as I had gotten the last 65" C3 they had left at the time.
I was annoyed at first thinking the 65" G3 would be going down at target soon as well to maybe $1500 based on the last two target post. But after hearing what people are actually seeing it for, $1900 on GT seems like a pretty good deal. Haven't hooked it up yet, but had to take it out of the box to inspect it when it was delivered and just the screen and build are beautiful.
Couldn't find one in CT for sale at the $999. Found one at $1600. Bought it and then brought it to another target and told customer service I bought it with the wrong credit card and can I just return and put it on a different card. Walked out with the TV at $999.
Anyone know if I purchase this online will it drop down to the $1,000 price instead of $1599? Or does it have to be in store only...? There is a Target close to me where it is available to be purchased online for pick up. TIA.

No, that's what I did to secure one, but I had to bring it to another target that had the discount and "return and repurchase"
Ahhh...got it, thanks. When you did the return and repurchase what did you tell them? I used the wrong credit card or something like that...?
Exactly that. I tried to be honest at the first one I went to and was met with a No. The second one, I said I used the wrong CC and the guy working the guest services desk dngaf. Obviously YMMV. But worth trying if you can float the 1600 for a few days to get it at 999.
To make sure the store actually had it at 999, I just took a picture of the barcode and brought it to a price check kiosk, before I brought the TV in to try the credit card thing.
Thoughts on buying a display model for $1k? I have a C1 at the moment and figured I could sell it for close to $1k w/3 year (additional) warranty.
I got one, 5k hours and they gave me 10% off. The LG premiumcare is $180 for 3 years but factory warranty is still there from day of purchase so not sure if I want to buy or not.
