A few things to know.
1. the plan only lasts 360 days, not a year.
2. renew price $30 does not include tax and fee. the tax and fee is about $1 or $2 for me.
3. If you forget to renew it when time is up, you have about 60 days to keep your number. There is an reactive fee of $1 if you forgot to renew the plan. This $1 is not a tax, not a yearly fee. It costs you $1 if you totally forget to renew the plan after 30 days.
You may want to link a credit card on RedPocket account so you get auto renew.
When I know I will have friends / family fly into US, I mail this SIM card out. I tell them to put this SIM card into their unlocked phone and call me when their flight lands at an airport. It saves $$ and make everything simple.
it has been this price for at least 5 years i believe
I have this plan and use it to track my two young kids, put it in their backpack and use an old unlocked phone. Using life360 app can tell where they are at all times

Can someone please confirm if this plan includes international calling and texting as mentioned on the eBay page? It would be a sweet deal if it does since I can use as an emergency phone for International calls/text. My current Page Plus pay-as-you-go number seems to have stopped having the ability to send/receive International texts.
I am using this on samsung watch. Just buy thus plan, activate it and then convert to esim. It's easy to add plan on samsung watch you find it on google.
I have this for my kids and for the most part it works well, BUT they are not able to receive photos/images But maybe more importantly they can't see group texts at all. So texts from coaches etc...they can't receive....anyone know if there's anything I can do to fix that ?
I had the same issue with my phone. Support kept having me reset the network and apn settings but we could never get it to work properly. I needed the ability to send/receive pics and group chat and support was no help at all. I ended up cancelling the service and switching to mint mobile and had no issues after that. Waste of time and money dealing with RP, in my case. If you have no issues, they are very affordable. Good luck on solving your problem.
This is still better than USmobile for an occasional use phone right?
I haven't used US Mobile but RP counts missed calls as 1 minute used and if the caller gets into VM then those are additional minute(s). When my phone goes from wifi to LTE then 0.4MB is used. There's additional data drain during the day but not sure if an app is doing that. Of course USM can be on T Mobile or Verizon but this $30 RP is T Mobile only.

Can anyone using this on apple watch provide quick instructions on how to activate on apple watch? TIA
I don't believe this is possible. Apple watch only supports a fixed list of carrier and red pocket is not one of them: https://www.apple.com/watch/cellular/

RP needs some data for the LTE connection. When I ran out of data, I couldn't use talk and text even when there were still minutes and plenty of messages.

You will have to set up a different account for the watch in your app
I was able to find the web page https://www.redpocket.c
Extra question.
This plan can be used as some kind of verification.
Can I find out the real identity of the "user"?
For example, credit card or government id.me or something like that, when you need to use the phone to verify the ID against the bill?
thanks
But this is a prepaid phone service, there is no monthly/yearly bill in pdf form that you can download/print out.

The missed calls thing is annoying
