Reposting for visibility, as searching for 'SIM' on SL doesn't show this unless you go many pages deep.
It's an MVNO that can work on the T-Mobile or Sprint network
$2.50 a month or $30 year for a backup, ghost, emergency, or kids phone is the absolute cheapest I can find in the US

A few things to know.
1. the plan only lasts 360 days, not a year.
2. renew price $30 does not include tax and fee. the tax and fee is about $1 or $2 for me.
3. If you forget to renew it when time is up, you have about 60 days to keep your number. There is an reactive fee of $1 if you forgot to renew the plan. This $1 is not a tax, not a yearly fee. It costs you $1 if you totally forget to renew the plan after 30 days.
You may want to link a credit card on RedPocket account so you get auto renew.
When I know I will have friends / family fly into US, I mail this SIM card out. I tell them to put this SIM card into their unlocked phone and call me when their flight lands at an airport. It saves $$ and make everything simple.

Basically after you purchase the physical sim from ebay they will send you a activation code, you can ask customer service to help you activate the service immediately even before you receiving the physical sim.
- You need to provide EID and IMEI(the one that is NOT in use if you already have an existing phone plan) to their customer service.
- You have to decide if you want to port in a number or get a random number(true random, you don't even get to pick, the customer service won't even tell me what number it is until the service is activated) so becareful with your decision.
- You will then get QR code in the email which you can scan with your iPhone to activate your esim.
Hopefully my experience will help others.Yes it should work I am using this on watch 5 with Fold 4 tmobile. You have to enable qr code scanning under wearable app.
For LESS than 1/10th that price? Don't think many reasonable people would agree.
Just as an FYI: 10/1 is as fast (or faster!) than some home broadband options.

BTW, have to say the RP support was very good to resolve the issues over email. And I'm still sore about USPS tracking snafus
