Okay, so when I originally posted the deal, I noticed each store in my metro area had maybe 3-5 chairs in stock. People who bought this deal early could choose free pickup at their local store, no handling fee involved because the store already had the chair in stock.
Once a chair has to be shipped-to-store, it incurs a handling fee, which means one might as well have it delivered directly. The spin wheel promo ($15 off $60) covers this fee.
I find it odd that Staples charges a handling fee for ship-to-store, but it does. Maybe that helps offset the free shipping Staples offers on ~$1 items!
