I remember when these trade in deals with T-Mobile used to get you the pixels for free on simple choice. No longer the uncarrier, oh well.

Dang, no love for SC members. I can't give up my plan from 10+ yrs ago. I have like 6 free lines on it so nothing else comes close.

Last good SC deal was moto edge 2022. I got 3.

My only deals outlet now is Samsung.com trade in deals. Here's hoping for a great mid-cycle deal like they did for the S23U. I got mine + Tab S9 + watch & earbuds for less than $400!

Unless things changed in the last 3 months, T-mobile will automatically fill out, submit, and process your $100 Costco Upgrade GC. There is nothing for you to do. You can track it via the T-mobile Promotions tracker page.
My rep gave me a sheet of paper with links and promo ID and told me to submit it by myself. :-(

Did this deal yesterday at nearby costco, everything went smooth, was in and out in like 15 min

The rep guided me through the $100 costco card submission process and let me kept the flyer wit promo code and fine print as reference

For those of you did the deal, how are you handling the trade in part? Mail it in or drop off at nearby T-Mobile store? I went to my tmobile account to check the order status and while everything looks right, I wasn't able to print the mail in label as it just take me to a blank page, perhaps need to wait til the new phone is shipped?

Their web site is very glitchy. Most of the time I have to chat to them for trade-in label email to me.

The safest method is to trade-in at a corporate T-mobile store, not a third party retailer TPR. Take photos at the store of your trade-in and the label printed by the store for your records.

You avoid the shipper losing or damaging the package. Although technically this is one of the services retail stores provide, you might have difficulty finding a corporate agent willing to do this, since they aren't making a sale and there is a slight ding to their metrics. I just tipped them $20 at the end for their help, more than covers the ding to their metrics and worth the risk mitigation for me.

Someone just posted they received 4x $200 gcs from Costco rather than the 4x $75 they were expecting [reddit.com]. Probably an exception rather than a rule, but more argument to upgrade at Costco if you are a member.

Those deals are usually when the new models come out in October?

I just did this at Costco, but I'm worried that there is no documentation of the $500 promo. I see in my receipt my trade in phone with a fair market value of $40. Should I be worried? I'm on ONE plan so should be eligible

I have received my pixel 8 today (did join the deal on 26 APR). UPS return label and bubble wrap envelop came with it to return your trade-in.

Does it mean that all tmo corp store will take the trade-in? or not?

your phone is worthy $40 (instant credit) and the remaining $460 will be monthly billing credit ($460/24). BTW, you should have the document stating $500 credit in the pile of paperwork in your account.

Now, the questions is if the phone is "not" trade-in eligible (whatever the reason), do we forfeit entire $500? or just $40 phone worthy portion? (i have not yet to read the fineprint... sigh)

Anyone here who did the Pixel 8 Pro deal, are you really getting the $20.84 credit for a $500 trade in. I am getting $17.xx credit.

I am also on the One Plan. I traded in a phone for $500 credit but it looks like I am getting $17.73 credit each month instead of the $20.84. What does your account say about how much credit you will be getting each month?

It doesn't say anything, that's why I'm worried. I see the notice to send in my trade in, but only showing that I'll get the bill credit of $40. The Costco person said I don't have to submit anything to get the $500 trade in.. I do have to submit something for the $100 gift card

The Costco guy told me i have to wait 3 months to get the 100 dollars Costco gift card. But looks like I have to submit something to get the gift card.

The credit showed up in my account after 24 hours but it says $17.xx instead of $20.xx.

I will go back to Costco again.
