I remember when these trade in deals with T-Mobile used to get you the pixels for free on simple choice. No longer the uncarrier, oh well.

Dang, no love for SC members. I can't give up my plan from 10+ yrs ago. I have like 6 free lines on it so nothing else comes close.

Last good SC deal was moto edge 2022. I got 3.

My only deals outlet now is Samsung.com trade in deals. Here's hoping for a great mid-cycle deal like they did for the S23U. I got mine + Tab S9 + watch & earbuds for less than $400!

It doesn't say anything, that's why I'm worried. I see the notice to send in my trade in, but only showing that I'll get the bill credit of $40. The Costco person said I don't have to submit anything to get the $500 trade in.. I do have to submit something for the $100 gift card
Are you getting an error when you try to submit for the $100 gc? Mine says "There were no promotions that matched your search criteria."

The Costco guy told me i have to wait 3 months to get the 100 dollars Costco gift card. But looks like I have to submit something to get the gift card.

The credit showed up in my account after 24 hours but it says $17.xx instead of $20.xx.

I will go back to Costco again.
The monthly credit will vary based on the upfront trade-in value you got for your phone. If you got $100 for your phone the monthly credit would be $400/24 = $16.67. The total of the phone trade-in value and the 24 monthly credits should add up to $500.

I am on ONE with 7 lines that are all upgrade eligible (no equipment charges) and recently got texted an exclusive offer of 50% of most phones up to $414 with ANY trade-in. Limit one offer per account.

First I finally decided to switch to iPhone 15 plus from 7 pro, but then realized as much I hate some bugs of 7 pro, iPhone annoys me even more like: worse speech to text, doesn't support sharing Google meets screen (we watch together lots of YouTube videos with my dad who owns an Android and thus can't use FaceTime), plus it was $129 more than Pixel 8 Pro at only 60 Hz screen.

So after just 2 days with Iphone I went back to Android, and will stick with their occasional bugs because I realized iPhone is also not bug-free and too constraining. I owned Pixels since Pixel 2 and now got myself 8 pro, 7 Pro goes to my mom who had pixel 4 5G, and mom's goes to my dad. But for trade in I found some old 16gb LG instead, with zero value but makes my 8 pro $400 after 24 months.

I guess, instead of trading them, I like driving pixels to the ground, or rather my mom does it: Pixel 3XL I passed to mom has a swollen battery, Pixel 4XL I passed to mom suddenly died. I still keep them just in case I can trade them in for something in such condition (Google used to give good value for any condition at one time I believe)
I'm still using my Pixel 2xl,have a new pixel 6 sitting in a box,too lazy to switch😭

I think you can request temp unlock 3x. Go to device and tap temporary unlock. Or just pay it off and you will still receive credit each month.

Temp Unlock from my understanding is thing of the past. T-Mobile rep also said you cannot pay off your phone fast under any circumstances. there system takes off from your account and credit back at the same time, thats how its designed.

I pay off my phones all the time. After credits, my 12 line plan cost less than $50 each month.

No more temp unlocks for iPhones. Temp unlocks are available for some, maybe all, Android devices.

How Recurring Device Credits (RDC) work
  • To receive Recurring Device Credits (RDC), you must purchase your device on EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) and meet any other requirements of the promotion.
  • You may have one Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo per active Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).
  • If you pay off your EIP early, you'll continue to receive the promised Recurring Device Credits (RDC) as an account-level credit through the remaining months of the promotional credit period (up to 24 or 36 months).
  • You must wait to pay off your EIP until the line is enrolled in the desired promo (within 2 bill cycles of qualifying transactions).
  • Additionally, you can't pay off an EIP by deducting the remaining Recurring Device Credits (RDC) installments from the remaining EIP balance. The full EIP balance must be paid to close out the plan.
  • It can take up to two bill cycles for your Recurring Device Credits (RDC) to appear on your bill. If you don't get the credit on the first bill, you'll receive two credits on your next bill.
  • If the Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo is greater than your EIP payment, you'll have two credits on your bill; one credit for the same amount of as your EIP charge and a second for the balance of the remaining promotional credit.
  • Recurring Device Credits (RDC) can't be sped up to pay off your device faster.
  • If you are trading in a device as part of promo eligibility, you will be paid a one-time credit for the fair market value of the device. The balance of the promotional value will be paid via Recurring Device Credits. If you are in a retail location and performing an instant trade-in at the time of your purchase, you will be given options as to how that fair market value is applied.
  • If you cancel your T-Mobile service, you'll lose any remaining Recurring Device Credits (RDC), and all remaining EIP balances become due immediately.

I will go back to Costco again.
If you're getting 17.xx for 24 months. Then the remaining credit will be paid ($90) when you turn in your phone

For ex: my phone was worth $110, so i'm getting $16.25 credit per month for 24 months. Total adds up to $500

So in plain English, you can pay off your installment plan early. The t mobile rep lied to me cause he said he is 100% sure cause he does it all the time.
