On the tmobile page for the costco location it says:

Do i need to upgrade the phone in the store or can I call the costco 800# and then bring the trade to the costco kiosk? I see some conflicting information on how it all works.
I'm interested in getting my trade assessed and verified in person rather than shipping and hoping it all works out ok.
