Found one, but was informed Target clearance prices are location specific based on stock available. They do not match clearance prices for other stores.

Had an interesting experience at the Target in Eagle Rock, a neighborhood of Los Angeles. I figured no way I'd get the deal because I never get these deals, but I saw the Eagle Rock Target showed 7 in stock around 10am today. Everywhere else said OOS. I didn't believe it but looked an hour later and it showed 5. I thought, oh wow, that could mean they actually have some and are selling at the clearance price. Being 15 min away, I figured worth a shot, so I jumped in my car and raced over there.

Two nice guys were waiting in the TV area. I asked if they were there for the C3. They said yeah and that the employee was getting them from the back! She rolled up with five on a cart and asked if I wanted one! I was shocked. The first guy bought two. The second guy bought one. I bought one, and a young guy showed up after me to get the last one. I almost bought two but when the younger guy showed up, figured I'd share the love.

Turns out, others had shown up earlier in the day but were turned away because the employees didn't think they had any. I happened to show up after they found them. Took them awhile to bring them up so must have been stored in some corner somewhere in their warehouse.

This is the first YMMV deal I've ever been fortunate enough to snag and my first ever 4K display so am very appreciative! Congrats to those who also found one and good luck to those still trying!

Nice to see something like this on SlickDeals - us old timers remember when this sort of mega deal was the norm on the Front Page vs. now when it's an Anker Charger discounted 20% the same way it gets discounted every 2 months.

I was asking the same question!

My local store has only 55" & 65" on display for sale.
55" is for $750+ 30% off = $525 -%5 red card = $498.75

65" = $1000 discount with another 30% off display +5% off red card.

Should I buy the display model? with the same 30-day refund/return warranty and 1 year manufacturer warranty?

Both 55 & 65" with remote but no TV stand.
Display models means they might be ON continously for 12 hours a day. So, just be wary of potential burn ins and life reduction with lowered brightness. But, still good if 50% off.

I was looking for a 65 inch model and found one. It a store display model only and they want $999 with 15off. Debating if I want to get it or not. What are your thoughts, would you ever buy a display model with no warranty?

Same at my store, only one 55" ($750) and 65" ($999), both display models, for sale. Associate confirmed he will sell them for the clearance price. I declined. This model was released over a year ago, so the displays have likely been on for almost 5,000 hours. However I wonder if the units will come with the 1-year LG warranty.

this was today haha. I ended up with 2 55", they didn't have anything else in stock for LG OLED C3's at the locations I went. The online pick up estimate is pretty accurate, but if it shows as only 1 available, it's likely the display model:
- Some loactions will be weird about trying to sell you a display model, saying they can't
- Other locations will sell you the display model, and you may even be able to get more off since it is a diosplay model.
- Up to you whether you want a display model, aside from possibly missing accessories and box (for transport)... personally i wouldn't for an OLED. could have a lot of on hours, and time/use is hard on OLED panels
mine showed 1 available and it wasn't the display model.

Politely bugged the guy in the tech area and he really didn't want to scan it again and said like 10 other people came in before me earlier in the day and said it was $899 and that was it.

Maybe could come back tomorrow and ask if there's different employee there but this one guy wasn't budging.
Was keeping an eye on it today and right before I got out of work it changed to say "No longer sold at this store" online, guess the price finally got updated and somebody bought it. Probably could have bugged the tech more but oh well. Congrats to whoever got the TV!

Just got back from my SoCal run:
- Fullerton South - no 42" or 65". I took the last 55"
- Fullerton West - no 42" or 65 or 55
- Brea - No 42" or 65" or 55"
- Anaheim (Euclid) - No 65'. I took the last 55", and I saw the second to last just get sold.

I also try to be calm and nice, but The last spot the employee let me know that everyone was looking for the 65" yesterday, and even started getting angry... Lets be civilized people, its just a TV, and these employees are likely not paid enough to deal with some bargain hunters getting mad they can't buy a luxury unneeded item...

WITH ALL THAT SAID:
My search this morning were for 42" and 65", but found the two 55", which COULD fill anticipated needs, BUT if anybody wants to TRADE my 55" with their 42" or 65" (+/- cash of course). I am located in SoCal, and have a big enough car to deliver/pickup!
Sent you a message!

Zip 98902 has several. I just bought the last 55 and 50. Also had some of the other Samsung and Vizio clearance items from other posts

I would not get the display without a warranty in because of the way they turn off the TVs by shutting off with a breaker causing the pixel cleaning to clean the screen way too much causing the screen to degrade faster the TVs are meant to be turned off by the power button and always have power connected.

Funny thing is my first OLED tv was purchased at Target after seeing a post on SD in 2017 lol.
Would love to find a 42 for a monitor or maybe 55 to replace my bedroom tv

Target app says "not sold at this store" so I assume it's not worth the trip.

Please stop buying multiple items for these rare YMMV deals. We are all here fighting for a piece of the pie. Sharing is caring SD people.

CHICAGO Report

TLDR; Most Chicago city Targets are OOS on all sizes, except for display models.

Just spent closet to 10 hours visiting multiple targets, and even some neighborhood ones (I had the day off and I'm moving, so thought this would be an excellent pick up) Even though on the target app it says not sold in store. They were some definitely sold in store but were picked up already. A lot of reps were very friendly, and checked in the base, however all were OOS. I asked about the display model, some were willing to sell, some were not. I opted on not buying one since after talking and researching that some leave the TVs on OVERNIGHT. That means they've been on for days/weeks at a time, and who knows how long they've been on display. Not worth. But ofc the most important part, did I visit YOUR Target? Here are the ones I visited in no particular order

South Loop
West Loop
McKinley Park
Chicago State st
Chicago South Pulaski
River North
Cicero
Streeterville
Lincoln Park South
Gold Coast
Lincoln Park North
Lakeview Belmon Stn
Lakeview Ashland
Wilson Yard
North Elston
Skokie
Chicago Mid North

I may have missed a couple, or misremembered one for another, but they started to blend together. But this should be the bulk of them. I wish target had a way to differentiate a "neighborhood" target and an actual one where they sell more than 3 TVs. Im going to bed now, disappointed I wasn't even able to snag one.
