I mean the whole reason why there's so many of these re-certified is probably this model has bad thermals and people are doing warranty calls (replacement perhaps). So Acer end up with a whole warehouse of overheated under-warranty laptops so Acer is reapplying the thermal paste, swapping out the system boards+cpu and selling it back for cheap on Ebay.

I read the terms and conditions for the coupon. Looks to be an invite only for some users, I've missed out on these before. I got selected for this one this time. I already have a similar model from a year prior (Triton 500se i7 11800H/RTX3060). I will say the laptop has performed well for the time I've had it. Just got mine in and it looks brand new. No marks or scratches anywhere. Comes in a generic brown box with no markings. No manual or anything but it does come with a note that says free returns for 30 days no matter what the issue is or if you just don't like it. Really nice padding for it as well.

With fans on turbo it was loud but that's to be expected. Normal browsing and YouTube was quiet. I didn't do any stress tests. Don't have time right now.

I had my brother buy the Helios 300 ~6 months back for ~$920 with similar / almost same base specs. It's been running flawless, and was practically brand new when arrived. Only had to update BIOS + Drivers, etc to fix some power profile issues causing throttling on the CPU.
This deal is better with slimmer design, +0.5" screen size...not sure about the thermals tho.

It may boost upto ~145W...it does that in Helios 300, which is the max TDP spec.

Bought one of these last time with a coupon they had and been a great machine for CoD, FN, and RL. I got it for 799. It's does get hot but no issues over heating or anything running hard for 6 hour sessions. Upped the memory to 64gb and added a 2nd SSD and would buy again!
