Thanks for outlining your process, it's incredibly helpful!

Quick question, when you signed up for your plan and ported over your GV number, did you use your IMEI from an old phone device? I don't have any extra devices laying around and trying to avoid using my current phone's IMEI.

Thanks in advance for the help!
I used an IMEI from and unused phone (Pixel 7). My main phone has both sims in use used so I didn't want to use those.

Did you add the second tablet line after activating the first tablet line? Or you can add two tablet lines on the same day and no need to wait for the first tablet to be delivered?
I had received / activated one a week or so ago, and second one was ordered today.

Cool.. did you order in a single shot or did you have to stagger them as separate order

Order tablet 1 activate and then order tablet 2 activate
Separate orders, one was ordered ~ 2 weeks ago, when it was $50 + plan, and activated last week. Second one was ordered today.

Works. Just $20 total. No taxes or fees.

Does anyone know if this tablet comes in a box that has metro branding all over it or just regular Samsung packaging? Need a birthday present for my cousin next month. But he still owes me like $400 he never paid me back. Not gonna get him anything nice. This will do.
No Metro branding on the box, but when I first started the tab it wanted me to insert the sim card, and it pulled a whole bunch of Metro apps afterwards. Maybe there's a workaround that lets you set up the tab without the SIM, but it was not obvious, and I didn't mind activating the SIM.

This tablet comes in a Samsung box and has no Metro branding on the box or tablet, however, it will boot up with the Metro splash screen. BTW, you must be a generous/forgiving person. If someone owes me $400 and doesn't plan to pay me back, I'm not going to gift that @sshole anything.

Hopefully this is much faster than the a7 lite... worse is when I'm using as car GPS and have to reroute...
Looking at the specs the a9+ should definitely be a lot faster. It uses a snapdragon 695, which is 2-3x faster than the mediatek helio p22 on the a7. https://nanoreview.net/en/soc-com...-helio-p22

You can extend the suspended account for 72 hours.
I think I read somewhere from another thread where someone bought the A7 Lite on a 72hour-extended account that was previously suspended and couldn't activate it anymore by the time the tablet arrived/shipped

I can confirm though that when you receive the tablet, it does require you to activate it in order to start using it. It's the first thing that shows up when you turn on the tablet so there's no way of bypassing it

So be careful out there folks LMAO

It does require that the Metro SIM be installed, but it does not require the SIM to be activated. I ordered my A9+ after requesting a 72-hr extension, but couldn't activate it by the time the tablet was delivered. It did make me put the Metro SIM in it, but let me proceed with setting up the tablet using WiFi. I left the Metro SIM in place and turned on Airplane mode so it won't waste battery trying to connect to Metro service.
