Here is my story
I ordered one of the price of the tablet when price was $50 by extending the suspended account for 72hours. Since I got my tablet after the elapse of 72hrs grace period, I was not able to activate that tablet but I managed to set up as a wifi tablet.
Today, I managed to get the second 72hours extension. With that not only I managed to activate the tablet, I also managed to order the second one.
I did extension and couldn't order but checked again today and was able to so thanks!
I won't be able to activate it but not a big deal with bypass.

How did you do a second extension? My account won't even log in now as the phone line is long gone

Since I didn't install the SIM, I don't see a Metro splash. If I install the SIM, will a Metro splash be permanently installed on the tablet?
I think yes because verizon on samsung does!
Thats the reason i used tap trick 🙄

I don't know. I managed to log in after entering the phone number and security pin. I received the security pin on my suspended line.

I remember it said 1 extension per billing cycle but if you'r not paying, I don't get why they would let you do it again.

Online ordering fails. It asks me to call their support at the end of checkout.
Their support tried multiple times with different cards. My bank says that they approved the charge but Metro says that the card is protected or something. Not sure how to get around this issue.

"Please contact us to complete your order.
Your security is important to us. Unfortunately can't complete your order online. Our award-winning Mobile Experts are ready to assist you. Please call us or visit a store to continue."

The agent says "There is a restriction on the card regarding online purchase"

I just removed the SIM from my new Metro phone and it still shows a Metro splash screen when turning on. I suppose the tablet would do the same thing...? Is there a negative consequence when not installing tablet SIM, such as having to pay the full price?
No they cant do anything since its free tablet
