Anyone had any luck ordering through chat instead of calling in? I tried it once and the rep tried to sell me the tablet for "$280 when MSRP is $319". When I pointed out that there's a promotion for free when opening a tablet line, they said it was one promotion per account. I'm not sure if chat reps see things differently on their system than phone reps or if this rep was lying.

I have one set up with a simcard. I don't see any personal information attached.
Personal data might be imbedded in the SIM card from the carrier.

So I just got done ordering my 6th tablet and seventh device. If I were to sell any of these should I just put the sim in and say it comes with a month of service? It's not like they have access to any of my information

how are you ordering so many? I suppose metro is shutting me down because i've purchased 5 iphone 12s, and 3 tablets, for a total of 8 devices across two accounts.

yeah idk what you mean * you have more devices then me*, I came late to the party so i have 1 razr and 6 tablets. I basically just get another tablet everyday.

Edit: it should be especially easy for you because you have all those phones with numbers that can receive verification messages.

I must be getting old or have low standards then, because I found this tablet to be great and a huge upgrade from my Samsung A7.

I mean, you're aware there are many thousands of posts on here where people viciously crap on PC's and phones with 8GB RAM, right? Because "8GB is total garbage" This has 4GB.

sure i'm sure it's an upgrade from many things, it's a decent tablet thats why i'm here. but compare it to any upscale samsung tablet or even my pixel tablet, huge difference. Theres a reason these are on this deal. Or even at Wal Mart for 199, and theyre brand new with sales who knows how cheap they'll get in the next months. And it's not just because theyre not OLED, my Pixel Tablet has a LCD too, but it's just much higher quality than the display on the A9+.

anyways on a totally different note, today i checked my email to see if i got a ship notice yet from my phone order yday, anyways i noticed my order confirmation from yday on looking closer says and shows "TCL Tab 8 LE". I dont remember every word but I'm 99.99% sure I made it clear I wanted the A9. I definitely wouldn't say the TCL I didnt even know Metro has any other tablet. Grrr. Makes me mad at the phone CS, idiot. He was laying it on thick too, "oh, you sure gonna be happy today now that I'm getting you a shiny new tablet huh sir?". i swear their (indian?) call center reps are annoying, although polite.

also the metro website is barely working if at all for me today. throwing a nearly immediate error in chrome, barely working a little in edge. i dont see any new order in their to cancel anyway. i guess it will show up after they ship it.

I checked to be sure, I'd probably just accept it if it wasnt awful, and yeah the CPU in the TCL is trash. No beuno. Now to call and try to cancel, and order the a9 instead, which it's probably gonna be too late.

Edit: And there it is, just got the "ups package scheduled for delivery tmrw" email. Grrr. so they gypped me out of another 20 bucks. and now theyre going to act dumb and like they never heard english when i try to call and get the charge removed/canceled/whatever, should only take 3 hours. i'm thinking to refuse the package, IF I happen to catch it, but even then since the tablet is "free" and I'm paying for the service I'm not sure if that will even work to get my 20 refunded. Edit: Got a actually helpful, concise CS this time, he claims they caught it before shipping and will attempt to just switch the TCL with a A9, but I'll believe that when I see it! He told me to watch my email for the next 24 hrs a they'll email me whatever happens.

Also just to be clear, the reason I have to call for these orders is on the tablet page, it says "Sorry, you are not eligible to add a new line. Please contact support to discover the reason for ineligibility. 1-888-8metro8". Is that the same for everybody with an under 30 days old account made just for this promotion?
