If you compare the specs between the S6 and S9 FE then you will be happy with your S6. The key difference is the Super AMOLED in S6 vs TFT LCD display in S9 FE. Also, Qualcomm in S6 vs Exonys in the S9 FE. So the S9 FE is pretty much a downgrade but the downside is no more software/security updates for the S6.

I was able to replicate the deal but ran into some quirks. If I used my corp discount, I could no longer trade in a S6 Lite, only up to the S5, so it was more expensive. Also, by default, it adds in the book cover keyboard at 50% but when I went to checkout, it was out of stock and wouldn't let me place the order. But for a non-corp discount, no keyboard buy, I was able to buy the S9 FE for $99 after trade-in.

Just bought the $99 + $25 tax s9 FE (mine still worked for trade-in, desktop Chrome but I had clicked on the Samsung site around 11 am Eastern time, so maybe had some cookies in there that let me get the deal).
That was the best "low risk" one I could find as well. A few others ~$10 cheaper, state it works, but has "as-is" disclaimers. $100 + $140 + tax still seems very slick for an s9 fe. Another $50 (or was it $60?) gets you the 8gb ram + 256gb storage.

The ram seems more pertinent imo, if these things are similar to the galaxy phone line, and if you keep lots of apps/browser tabs open like me.

It doesn't slow down with less ram from my experience, but if you have "heavy" web apps open in the background, they will stay loaded vs force reloading when you come back to them. A bit of a niche use case but one that's important to me.

Agreed with posts above. S6 seems like a better tablet than S9 FE still. Downgraded screen seems like a huge deal.

Seems like a great deal for Tab S6 lite though.

So Gray color is out of stock for delivery and Silver shipping date is a month away. Can I ship the trade in after I received the S9 FE Silver or do I need to ship the trade-in soon?

i was able to trade in an S6 Lite on an EDU account by logging out, adding it all to cart, then when it prompted me to log in I just logged into my EDU account and it brought the S6 Lite with the full $250 trade in value to the cart. nothing really tricky. and it made my price $94.99 instead of $99.99.

i also recently was browsing the samsung website and it popped up with an offer to sign up for their emails for a $25 e-certificate for my next purchase, so I had that sitting around. I applied it to my order and my final cost for the tablet was $69.99 plus tax (tax was like $22+ so i think they were taxing me on some pre-discount price, which i guess is ok), and i applied $2.43 in rewards points so final cost after everything was like $90 or so

oh yeah, i forgot i activated a 10% cashback too

Great deal only if you are trading in the S6 Lite. I wouldn't give up the regular S6 for this though. I've had my S6 for years and two of my kids have used it almost everyday beating it to death. It still works flawlessly and the screen is gorgeous. S6 has been by far the best tablet I've had.
