Note that each light bar only produces 36 lumens. Sort of like a night light.

Yeah. I'm not certain these would be legal after dusk even on a non-motorized watercraft in MN.

"Light should be strong enough so that other boats around the horizon can see it at least 2 miles away."

I think it's false advertising; they say 100 lumen 3 pack but all 3 have to be used together.

Seems odd that they're calling it marine when it's only IPX6

It's not a light that would be used in this manner. It is literally a low level light you would put on railings of a boat so you can see better while moving around the boat. It is more of an ambient light for those onboard.

I cannot imagine these being intended for the rub rail.

These aren't boat nav lights. These would be used as as courtesy lights onboard. Very different applications.

Curious about using them as truck bed lights, mounting them up under the rails downward facing. Just enough to see what's in the bed for loading/unloading?

They would probably be fine but that all depends on how many you use and what the truck bed size is lol

Ozark eh. Say didn't Marty Byrde, Wendy, and Charlotte use these lights at the marina on the lake or was it in the casino parking lot?

I'd suggest you use "12v led module" they're more slim. Maybe slightly more money than this but you get a lot of modules, and you can cut them at the wire portion. Just seal the non used side with a dab of silicone. So you can use many or just one/two modules on either side of truck bed.
