There are some longevity issues with this model of String trimmer - do your own research.
Buy extended warranty or purchase with Credit Card that extends warranty.

I bought this same deal from Home Depot several years ago. Both tools work well, but extra batteries are a must. The blower eats through charge in around 10 minutes of use. The trimmer is great through. No issues at all.

The hedge trimmer looks to be a good price. May be lower elsewhere, but when I purchased mine about 6 months ago, finding a new one at this price was hard. HD was $169 I believe.

Unfortunately, no. I tore it down to the electric motor and checked the wiring to ensure it was getting power. Just the motor alone was $90, it's completely unserviceable.

I'd buy a new electric one every three years if I had to to avoid messing with gas powered and everything involved in that.

I bought this same deal about 2 years ago. Battery life is short, and the trimmer died within the first 30 days so I took it back and bought an EGo…. Never looked back. You get about 15 minutes on a tool max with this thing.

Not to poop on this, but buy the EGO even if your like me and have at least 12 Dewalt batteries. It has very little power and battery life compared to the EGO. Also every once in a while they will add a second battery for $50 more. Thats enough to do a large lawn.

I really disliked this trimmer, could have been me, but I always had a problem with the string going back into its hole or not bumping smoothly to extend after I re-stringed it myself.

This blower works good, but it did rate the weakest compared to the competition out there on project farm, but this price is low for a reason.
