Pretty sure these are made in Taiwan anymore. I took the entire top end of my 97 camry apart with my set, they're not as bad as everyone says they are.

Looks like they finally switched back to the teardrop-ish shaped handles. I have one of the sets with the flat style handle they were using for a while, and I find myself reaching for my Kobalt with the teardrop handle because I get better grip on it.

These sets are good to get started with if you're like me and getting more into working on your own vehicles or things around the house. Lots of fluff in this set though, I personally think you'd be better off waiting for one of the slightly smaller sets that goes on sale for around $100 unless you absolutely NEED the 1/2" stuff. Plus these plastic boxes are way bulkier than they need to be they always have so much wasted space.. That goes for almost any set in a plastic box though.

I got the set that comes in the metal toolbox with three drawers around 2 years ago, it was about 120 and even that had a TON of repeat bits for the screwdriver and hex keys. But the ratio to useable stuff was very good on that set, and it gave me room to add more wrenches, pliers etc to it.

Does it really matter that much? Are your electronics made in the USA? Nope! China!
These tools could be made in Russia with metal pieces found from bombing runs in the Gaza Strip and I would still buy them.
As long as they work and are cheap I'm all in and the added warranty is a bonus!
