Costco Wholesale Stores [costco.com] has the Leatherman Skeletool & Skeletool KBx Combo Pack on sale for $49.99. Shipping and handling are free.

This combo went frontpage in October of 2023 but was in store only.

I already have the inexpensive Leatherman Bolster from Costco and just need to find a reason to pick up on of these....

This is a crazy good deal. More than worth it for the skeletool alone. Leathermans warranty is second to none. Break it and they'll send you another.
is there a skeletor masters of the universe special edition??
Just an fyi, the TSA will allow you to mail yourself back a knife or tool. This is assuming you're not in a hurry which for me is almost never. But on one occasion my wife had her leather man in her purse while flying. She mailed it back to herself at the airport. Had the tsa person not suggested it, she would have had to lose hers as well.

Same dilemma
I've got a Wave+ - it's a really nice piece of hardware, but frankly it's heavier/chunkier than I'd like to carry in my pocket regularly. Plus, there are multiple tools on it I've hardly ever (or never) used.

Skeletool is more pocket friendly & has the main things I look for - knife, pliers, cutter, and bit driver... but to each his own!

just curious; whats everyone using the multitool for?
Seems handy in a bugout bag, camping, but otherwise it doesn't seem like it would get much use day to day for me (don't camp that often).
Me personally I like that it's actually usable as a knife and doesn't feel like a total compromise when doing so. The screwdriver feature is good for not tight things, it's a little challenging to leverage for anything tight but in a pinch its useful. The pliers are also excellent as pliers. I feel like it does a lot less stuff than most multitools, but also does those things much better than other multitools.

Always have been intrigued by the skeletools and don't like how bulky my traditional Leatherman multitool is... at this price though it seems like a no brainer to experiment with

I love mine and carry it every work day. I don't need nail files and scissors. The multi tool has all you need.

Is this the same one that was like $40 a couple of months ago? All my locals sold out quick when they hit that price.

Had mine for over 10 years and bought the extra bits kit. Very handy and reliable. Be careful though, if you drop it, the extra bit you have stored on the skeletool can fall out and you lose it.

I have tried many multi tools and have owned Gerber suspension , SOGs, and I own a wingman and charge Ti, the Skeletool CX is near perfect in size and functionality (or lack there of).

Yep.. I almost got one before but $75 by itself was a little steeper than I'd like to pay for something that is objectively 'less capable' but justifiably so if you want something a little thinner/lighter and a little less 'present' in your pocket.

I don't know if I've seen Leathermans in store.. but I never really hit the entire store when I do go. I'd just go for online.

My Wave+ and older OG Leatherman will likely be relegated to various tool/emergency kits for the car or the garage/property. At home my whole tool bag is always pretty close by so I don't really find myself reaching for the Leathermans often.

A file is something I might notice or feel is 'missing' in the Skeletool... from filing material down for fitment, to fixing a badly cracked nail, they do come in handy time to time if there's nothing else readily available. My old Micra has one, and I'm pretty sure my Squirt does too.

I don't believe they'll send you another one. You have to pay to send it to them and they'll repair it.

That being said, I LOVE my Skeletool. The real bits that you can swap in and out are the BEST.

I just lost my Wingman that I've been carrying daily on my belt for 3+ years. Is the Skeletool and upgrade from the Wingman?

Edit: seeing now that the Skeletool lacks spring action pliers - that alone is enough for me to consider just getting another Wingman over this Skeletool.
