If brickseek shows no stock is it worth still checking?
Yes. Brickseek is nowhere close to 100% accurate even on regular items. On something clearance like this, it's not even worth checking brickseek.

I went to my local HD

6 of these were avail this morning. Two left when I got into the store

They have clearance items on tables in front of the their self service checkout and down by the Pro center.

I was happy to find the 18" $10 deal...BUT they also had two 22" One+ hedge trimmers with the cutting sweep thing and rotational handle for $30 instead of $119. I have plenty of One tools and batteries already so I opted for the 22" instead.

Totally wasn't expecting that.

Thanks OP for getting me into the store!

I just picked up both Hedge Trimmer attachment for $10 and String trimmer attachment for $5 at Commerce township, MI store in Zip code 48390. They don't have anymore $5 ones but they have 5 more $10 Hedge trimmers.

Spent 5 minutes explaining to the store associate what I needed from behind the locked cage until I gave up and left.

Still plenty in stock in East of Austin

Retails poor response to shoplifting is gonna be the death of them. Way too many barriers to sale

I asked to take a few out of the cage and the guy finally agreed and insisted on walking me to the cash register to pay for them. Only one thing scanned at $5 and I said I don't want the others and he pushed the whole cart away including my $5 trimmer. I had to yell stop so I can take the trimmer and pay for it. I get it they don't want me to bum rush the whole cart out without paying. But he didn't even want to open the cage after I asked a couple times. I went back to the cage and got a nice rep to open it and take some out and she let me take the items to the register by myself.

Found one, they had it marked for $10 and had moved it to the clearance section endcap along with the string trimmer attachment ($5).

Ah shoot I didn't even know there was a clearance section and must have walked past it. I went to the cage where the current models are and an employee checked the SKU on a computer but he said they were gone. App said 2 in stock but he said the manufacturer sometimes takes them.

The DeWalt electric pruners were in the same section and not buying them was very difficult. The tool itself is a great price but a battery+charger gets expensive.
