Thanks to Deal Hunter niki4h for finding this deal.
Sony has a better sound and noise-cancelling IMO, but the QC's are the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn.
Several considerations:
1. Bose customer service is not what it used to be. Very difficult to get get a response - it's mostly scripted by offshore analysts.
2. Bose website will accept id.me for students, medical, first responders, etc.
3. AmEx cardholder offer if valid through 01-May ($50 max). Reminder: you must apply the discount to your AmEx account for it to be acknowledged.
Even if you're considering a super cheap $45 gaming headset like a G432, something dedicated to a purpose is generally always going to be better. https://www.rtings.com/headphones...shold=0.10
I'd say it's easier to make a gaming headset work for office/calls work than vice-versa, but what you'd buy the Bose for is escaping from your environment.

🍻 appreciate it
Looking for a wireless for gaming ....
Have a Sony wh-h900n and its decent but the mic kinda sucks.
Just from a quick search for most wireless comments for gaming people just say to go for a higher end wireless headset in general and not gaming.
How does the Bose QuietComfort SC Headphones compare to Sony XM4s? I have the XM4 which I really like. Problem is, I have big ears and there is a plastic part that sticks out into the ear housing and really starts to hurt after about an hour. I can shorten the band to pull the housing up higher on my head, but that's not much better. I may buy these and regift to GF. Thanks!

QC is way more comfortable. I always bring with me on planes or when working in the office
That's wrong. This deal is for quitecomfort. The comparison is done for quitecomfort Ultra vs xm5. So xm5 is better compared to quitecomfort but on par with quitecomfort ultra.

I really need to sign up for an AMEX card - I keep missing out on all these deals.

*EDIT* Nevermind, I figured it out. You can't use a promo code AND id.me at the same time.

Bose has 90 day returns. My Amex plat gives a 2nd year free warranty.
Also I picked cypress green on Bose.com. Which is good to distinguish mine from other family member colors!
They're basically the same.
Those aren't the same headphones. Bose QC and QC ultra are different tiers of headphones.

For gaming you will want a headset with a dedicated receiver. The reason this won't be good is because it is Bluetooth.
