1. Bose customer service is not what it used to be. Very difficult to get get a response - it's mostly scripted by offshore analysts.
2. Bose website will accept id.me for students, medical, first responders, etc.
3. AmEx cardholder offer if valid through 01-May ($50 max). Reminder: you must apply the discount to your AmEx account for it to be acknowledged.
Edit- was actually able to get it lower
$249 base
- $30 id.me
- $33 Amex
- $11 Bing 5%
= $175

I just checked. You don't need to log in. You press skip.
Been using these headphones for years (35 and now QC). I use the app barely ever. Once you are connected you are good to go.
Btw my Bose 35 gen 1 are still going strong (I replaced the cushions a couple of years ago for 30 bucks off Amazon). I would say the qc is only an incremental improvement vs 35s but certainly recommended. Also the price has reduced I paid 350 back in the day!!

I use the app for my ultra (different product) because it has an equalizer and a feature called immersion which really enhances the sound.
