Slightly more expensive than the last deal, but I really like this color. I might just bite. Judging from the demos it has a really nice and unique tone, and coil splitting makes it super versatile. Offset body is a plus too.

How's the action on this guitar? Is the neck thin or thick? Just by looking at it and it's specs I suspect it probably sounds a bit like a tele.

1. Action is unique to each individual instrument and can be adjusted, so there's no way to answer that
2. This has 2 humbuckers. It won't sound like a tele.

It has two push pull pots allowing you to split each humbucker, so while you won't get exactly the same as two single coils, you will be able to get decent single coil-ish sounds from the demos I've seen.

Same scale as a tele, same string through body bridge/design (adds that brightness/twang a tele has), and it has coil split for single coil operation. Plus the choice of woods has me thinking this might be exactly like a tele, IDK. Was asking the guy above who actually put his hands on it. Same with the action and thickness of the neck, yes you can make some trussrod and bridge adjustments to make the action a bit better, but some guitars just don't have it.

I ordered it but it hasn't shipped yet, so I can't comment on anything yet. I'll report back after I receive it.

1. A Jackson won't sound like a Tele just because it has a 25.5" scale length
2. So many guitars are string through, but my twangy AF tele is a toploader.
3. Nothing in that person's comment indicated that they've played it.

I just noticed Guild Guitars Direct is selling these for $269 on their Reverb store. Both colors are available:
https://reverb.com/item/81405710-...eline-mist
https://reverb.com/item/81405768-...anyon-dusk
I'd post a new deal but maybe it's better to just edit this one.

Edit: Looks like someone else made a new deal: https://slickdeals.net/f/17461056-guild-surfliner-2-models-269?src=category_page
