Not really, no. Performax is probably better quality overall and it has a 10' cord vs. a 6' cord on the Bauer. I bought the Performax when they were similarly priced last year mainly because of the extra cord length and am happy with it.

Ultra fine particles from sanding, especially drywall, can bypass a household vacuum's filter and eventually fry the motor. Use a small shop vac intended for this type of dust instead.

I grabbed one of those dust cyclone things and plan to make a dust trap for next time.
