I use the "normal" strips (non-gradient) and Command clips to more securely mount them.

Does not require a sync box. A sync box (or compatible TV) is only required if you want it to emulate the color the TV is showing.

Order them, and when you get them, set them on the counter and push them forward until they hit the backsplash.

been wanting a HUE tv lightstrip... wondering how much coverage this would give for a samsung 77" s90c? do i need full 100% coverage behind the tv or can i like put this more interior on the tv to give a full rectange, even if its not fully on the outside edge (am I making sense lol?)

I would at least do the 75". There's 7 zones on the 65" and I know it wouldn't look right from what's shown on the TV then to the lights

Can these get their power off a USB port or must they be plugged in to AC? If the latter, approx how long is the cord ?

Was going to say this. Gradient light only a piece of the puzzle in the hue ecosystem. But once your house is connected with hue lights, there isn't anything comparable. My whole house goes from a normal, respectable home to a raging disco with a slight nod to Alexa.

I noticed there was also a subscription fee for the sync or a one time purchase for an app- can't remember but it wasn't very cheap. I mean if you want the coordinated light syncing with what's on tv. Or am I mistaken?

I think you're referring to a standalone app on samsung tvs?
