What were people saying about the seller on other posts? What's so good about it? Can you sharpen it? Do they need sharpening? I thought this brand just made frying pans? Why do they need a coating anyway? Is it the same coding as on their frying pans? Is the actual titanium metal? Or particles mixed with what?
GreenPan was sued on the contention that their Thermolon coating, which they claimed to be toxin-free, actually contains the following substances:
Silane
Aluminum oxide
Tetraethoxysilane
Methyltrimethoxysilane
Potassium titanate
These substances were listed in the patent for Thermolon123. The lawsuit challenged GreenPan's marketing claims about the safety and composition of their Thermolon non-stick coating

I don't mean to sound like a jerk but that's quite the barrage of questions for a $20 knife set...

Titanium coating means little about quality and is mainly marketing.
Im more puzzled by this from the about section...
ECO-FRIENDLY: The eco-friendly interior core is made from wheat straw to limit the environmental impact.

I hope that means the block and not the knives lol

I would prefer a titanium coated stainless steel knife any day of the week over a ceramic coated knife. This is a great deal. Considering places like macys and kohls are asking close to 200$ for the same thing 😱

According to the construction photo on Amazon, it's in the knife handle. For $20, I decided to take a gamble on this. We needed a new knife block in any case, and I like the idea of being able to throw these into the dishwasher. I get squeamish about doing that with our existing set.
