It has a larger battery. A few extra lights however it's missing some in/out ports I believe.
They have pros and cons to each. I think I tend to lean towards essential as it can be modified to add more batteries and a bit more flexibility on microphone options.

Looks like it is missing the mic port on mine, but both have the 3.5mm aux in port.

A little pricy, but no lag, long battery life, good range, decent sound quality, and wireless mics are a lot more fun for karaoke and parties than having to worry about a cord limiting your movement and knocking stuff over.
