They must be close to the expiry date of a month or two, it's a great deal if you are fine with that.

Convenience. I make espresso for myself and wife in the morning before work, but in the afternoon I don't want to, so I just pop in a Kcup. Yeah it's not nearly as good, but it's fine for an afternoon coffee.
