FWIW I stopped in my local costco the other day and the employee in the department said they will be discounting C3s within the month, at least at my location. They already have C4s but were waiting a little while longer to sell through some of the C3 stock before putting them on the floor. He told me to check back weekly because it absolutely is going to happen, just didn't know the exact date.

I was able to pick up the 48" C3 yesterday for $600 + $64.99 for the 5 year warranty from Allstate.

There are stores that allow order online and pick up today versus stores that say available at warehouse. If the store doesn't allow online order and pick-up, does anyone know if this indicates a clearance price?

In south San Diego (Chula Vista H-St and Broadway), they each have just a few left (3-5) and they're priced at $899.

I called 3 of the Costcos in our area and only 1 is offering only $100 off. I didn't know, I could do this. I might be calling every other day to check for price drops.
