Amazon is the same for me here in California on most knives, and a lot of other products. The smaller knife-specific retailers can usually ship to me, though that doesn't help you for this deal.

Bought in CA for OP's price. Saw box and clam for higher cost but below was the discounted. I have a prime trial so maybe that's it?

i always carry folding knives. but i prefer to buy them in bulk from goodwill. cheap knives you can sharpen and customize to the use. for common construction to cutting up boxes to scraping adhesive etc.
