Even though the 5800X3D has 4 fewer cores than the 5900x, it has something called 3D v cache which makes a big difference for gaming performance.
Albeit all depends on how good your GPU is. If your running something like a GTX 1060, no matter what cpu you upgrade to, it won't make much of a difference. Hope this helps

You know after doing some thinking. I totally forgot about the 5700X3D. I saw it's super affordable right now. And it's really close to the 5800X3D in performance
