I love uniqlo but their return process is disastrous.

Yup, I hate their return policy! I fail to understand why they let you pick up online orders in-store but don't let you return them in-store. Plus, they charge for return shipping.

Avoid ordering online at all costs. Online orders return period starts the day you order, not the day you receive it or pick up items.

Also, they will hide the return button, forcing you to live chat with them, but will bury the live chat button.

You can return items in store, if you order and pay for items in store.

Thanks for posting this. I've been off and on waiting for EZY Ultra Stretch Jeans to go on sale. I know to set an alert Uniqlo now.

Uniqlo used to be better, but since 2021 it seems they've decided to raise prices like 1.5 to 2x on lots of things, way above the rate of inflation for apparel. Plus changing return policies making it annoying as heck to return online orders. Sucks because I generally like their stuff, but not enough to pay $25 ($15-20 on sale) for a Supima t-shirt that I used to be $15 (~$7 on sale), or a graphic tee for $25 that used to be $15 or less with more thoughtful designs. Clearance prices don't go as low as they used to either.

The quality is also getting somewhat worse, as boxer briefs used to be premium Supima cotton, but it looks like they quietly changed it to regular cotton and it went from 2 for 9.90 to 2 for 14.90 with lower sale prices much less frequently.

Yes, I used to live by the Supima Tshirts. They look good with everything. I recently went to a retail store in Denver and the regular tshirts definitely felt thinner. I made sure they're we're not the cold/dry fit styles, just the regular tees. Kinda glad I hoarded a ton when they were in the $10 range.

There was a definite change. I bought like a dozen airism t-shirts on clearance for like $7 each over the years in a variety of colors. I would get graphic shirts for like $5.90.

They NEVER go that low anymore, the airism generally only has black, white and beige and they have less styles. The airism mesh t-shirts are great for summer but they have also changed the mesh fabric from what it used to be.

I also have a pair of long ass airism lounge shorts that were discontinued years ago that I still wear frequently.

I've bought a TON of stuff at Uniqlo over the years and I generally agree with all of this. There's a Uniqlo about a mile from my house so I used to buy a ton of stuff on clearance and have it shipped to store. I only returned a fraction of my purchases, but it was great having the option to return online purchases in store. Almost every single retailer operates this way. After Uniqlo changed this policy, I stopped buying a lot of stuff. You can't even return stuff you bought/paid for online but pick-up in store (not ship to store). The only way to return online purchases is pick-up + pay in-store.

This past winter I did buy a lot of stuff as I found a lot items on clearance went down to their "old prices". It's a bit of work, but the key is waiting to as late in the season as possible when sizes are almost out of stock and prices are lowest. Uniqlo restocks mostly in the early morning (like 6-7am PT) and you can get lucky when a size/color comes back in stock. I got a bunch of nice wool sweaters for $10-$20 (normally $50), two fleece jackets for $10-$20, an ultra warm down jacket for $40, hoodie for $15, etc. For popular items or don't want to play the restock game, then it's just best to get items when they are around the 2nd lowest prices and have some sizes still in stock, but these prices are higher than before. Previously, $10 items like flannels shirts are now $15 or $20 before sizes go out of stock. For me its worth is because Uniqlo is still the best quality-to-price clothing brand out there (maybe with the exception of Costco lol) and I wear their items for a long long time. Their clothing also fits my body type perfectly and their sizing is pretty consistent. Also, Uniqlo's size chart is specific to that item, not a general size chart which is crucial when online shopping for clothes. You can even use their size chart comparison tool to compare previously bought items to other items to see how the fit compares. It's super useful.

The prices that OP posted aren't exactly a SD and are regular sale prices.

Because they don't want to deal with difficult people and scammers. Seems like a great business move.

Well now that's poor customer service! How do they expect to stay in business?

They gotta make a margin somewhere, product is decent quality and ok price, cheap out on customer experience as people keep buying.
