It's a great deal for what they are- just know, a 3000 or 4000 will be plenty big enough for the vast majority of individuals.

If you decide on the Penn Battle 3 it is a little bit nicer of a reel that would do better with salt water splashes but not that much nicer than the Abu Garcia I mentioned. Battle 3's are more upper level entry reels. If you get one make sure it's a number 5000 or lower. For fish under 10lbs I would go with the 4000.

Did yours get drop-shipped direct from Penn? Ive had a similar thing happen 2-3 times in the past and not just from Amazon. In each case the shipment came straight from Penn or Pure Fishing
