Beware! Visible lost my phone number on port in. They also refused to pay out my gift card bonus due to a mistake they made.

If you need support, I hope you like Facebook Messenger.

If you ever get elevated to tier 2 support they will send you a single email from no-reply and you have to start over with tier 1 just to respond.
That's not the experience that I have, my entire family has Visible and even with one bar, we are able to receive, make calls and use the data. What you are experiencing is probably because the area you currently live.
Those other plans throttle you to like 1 mbps or less after you use 10gb, 15gb, or however much data they give you. With Visible it is really unlimited. You'll get fast speeds as long as the towers aren't congested. If you don't use a lot of data then obviously not worth it. If Verizon sucks in your area and the towers are always overused then not worth it either.

You also have unlimited hot spot with Visible. Hot spot is suppose to be limited to 5 mbps but its very easy to work around that and get full speeds.

I would not advice Visible to anyone. It always show reception, but if you get 3/5 bars or less, don't expect any connection. In my opinion there are much better MVNOs like Ultra and Mint, although they are a bit more expensive for the unlimited plan.
I had the same problem here in North Austin. No service like 75% of the time. I got a VZW trial recently and experienced the same thing until I set the phone to lte only using google phone. The network is pretty decent now. Idk if it'll be the same on prepaid though.

I had V s ble in NC. Worked fine. Then I moved to Central FL and it sucked. Varies by location. Customer Service is via chat only. That is why I call it V s ble because there is no one to say, "I" will take care of you over the phone.
i'm in central Florida too and any carrier using Verizon network sucks. Agree with what you're saying here.

On the other hand I've been using them 2 years, got a giftcard, a great Bluetooth speaker.. service has been reliable where I live, upgraded to the plus service and still only paying 44 dollars with insurance.

If subpar customer service is a breaking point then you should probably avoid MVNOs and pay the premium. In my experience they all have pretty shitty support.

Unless you need unlimited hotspot the USMobile deals are better because even the low buck plan gets priority and UWB like the visible $45 plan. Just know on the visible $15/$25 plan you are relegated to the lowest of low for priority and not sure but didn't even used to have c-band access (aka UWB).

The visible $45 plan has some interesting perks, so YMMV but the low buck plan I think folks would be better served w/ USM.

So if you are looking for stable prices not the 3 month pop up, take a look. And they have real customer service. Note: USM is on Verizon and TMO network today and I head AT&T coming some day.

Not for me. I have been on Visible+ since they switched from a Verizon APN carrier to a direct Verizon MVNO. (All that means for current users is you don't need any settings on your phone, it is just like being on Verizon prepaid).

Got a message a month in offering $35/mo Visible+ for life, so that is all I pay. Reception has been great, and I have zero concern about minutes/text/data or hotspot used. In Dec I was away from home and used something like 50+ gb of data, used hotspot all the time. Speed tests are fine as well, just ran one from home on 5GUW, 353/47.

Hard to tell from the info you posted. You could have a phone not meant for Verizon and missing bands, an older phone, on a crowded tower... etc.

Love visible. They sometimes run promo for existing users. I moved to their 45 plan a year ago for only 35 and that's permanent. Their 5G ultrawide band can easily get me to 1.1g download speed in area with good coverage.

I think this is very location dependent. TMobile has this exact behavior for me, where connection sucks even when I have bars. Mint and Ultra would be similar for me by extension, I assume.

Visible on the other hand is flawless for me even in those areas where TMobile is super spotty.

I'm in Chicagoland fwiw.

Visible has a 15 day trial so you can see how it will be for your before signing up.
I live in the north side of city of Chicago where T-Mobile has the best reception and Verizon sucks. Note: suburbanites too often call their distant, non-city villages 'Chicagoland'
