Thanks OP grabbed 2. If you order a second phone at the same time, the line cost for that one is only $30 on the $50 plan, so I got the 2 for $180 plus about $20 tax. Also used Chase offer….

GV port info:
Account # is your GV phone #
Pin you have to create in your GV account settings by toggling on "Call to listen" under voicemail settings.
later during activation/port at Total site, use "other" as your current provider.\
Based on info in this thread as well as info found on google, it is recommended to use google's address if you are porting a GV number and are asked for an address when providing port info for your 'old carrier':
Quote
:
If your new carrier asks for an address, you can provide them with Google's Address: 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043. That's it! Once you've provided your new carrier with the necessary information, they should be able to port your Google Voice number over to their service.
Port will take at least a few days.
Once activated, Text UNLOCK to 611611 (send it twice, it wont work first time) to confirm your unlock date. (approx. 60 days) The unlock is automatic and sent from apple servers. And it will unlock from anywhere in the world.
Bypass port in requirement for activation
YMMV, you can activate your phone on tracfone.com with new number directly to bypass port in requirement and the cost is $10 But please be reminded, after you input the imei on tracfone.com, you prepaid balance for your total-by-verizon will be lost and your phone will be rebrand to tracfone and you can't activate it on total-by-verizon wihout rebranding it back to total-by-verizon
You are NOT required to pay for a second month of service!
**Confirmed it doesn't work with a Verizon prepaid SIM card inserted 24 hours after activating the phone on Total VZ sim card.
Chase 15% Offer Details (YMMV / Targeted)
NOTE - this deal is YMMV / Targeted. I have several chase credit cards, but the offer only appears on 2 of the cards.
1) Log into chase.com account
2) Accounts tab -> (top left of screen)
3) On the right hand side of the screen you will see a "Chase offers" panel, click it
4) Top right corner there is a "choose account" drop down. If you have multiple chase cards, you will have to cycle through all of them and check the deals below that appear. not all of them will have the Verizon offer (hence YMMV)
5) If you see "Total by Verizon" deal then click on the "+" to add the offer to your card. NOTE - Remember which card you added it to (i.e the last 4 digits of the card)
When checking out on TotalByVerizon.com, use the Chase credit card that you added the offer to, to pay for the phone.
You will get an email notification a few days later, if successful (Subject "Congrats! You've successfully redeemed one of your Chase Offers")
The iPhone 11 is very old at this point, I wouldn't recommend anything older than the iPhone 12.
I had an iPhone 11 up until 2023 and the main issue was that the chip would get crazy hot. Battery was also affected by that
I was using an iPhone 11 like 6 months ago and it was behaving totally fine. Disagree that it's not usable right now, and the battery life will be right up there with the 12 whose battery life was natively poor.
Got 2 of them last week. Ported Google voice. Pretty seamless transition, though it took a couple of days for the Port to go through. $110 after taxes, only 2 month wait to unlock, cashback on certain sites, definitely recommended..

The sim and number is activated. However for apple phones, the first sim they take, they download the restrictions for that carrier. So when you put the Total sim in, it will then activate the 60 day timer.
Now that I realized this, I think I could have put in a dead AT&T sim and got it unlocked right away.... somebody try that and tell us. That's how we unlocked the previous 13 mini deal when verizon wasn't activating them.
That is called Flex Lock Policy which will lock the phone to the first SIM (usually BestBuy iPhones go with it). But this iPhone 11 lock policy is with Tracfone (you can check it with sickw). No matter what SIM you put in, it will not change the lock policy.
I purchased and activated it using GV numbers. A representative called me this morning and confirmed that the porting of my number is in progress and will be completed at 2:00 PM EST on May 14.
Can I keep the phone sealed to activate it? Or do I need to open the box and insert the SIM card into the phone? (Apologies if this question has been asked before)

It has been asked, you should use the "search this thread" box-top right.
Really wish people would take the time to read the wiki & at least some of the thread, lots of information here that can make this a simple transaction if you follow directions.
More info-this is the 11 you purchased with the sim it came with and a number ported in and you didn't use the sim in a different phone?

Attached? where does it say that?
I used google voice number to order and was unable to activate online when i received. after calling multiple times it was activated with a new number and a new online account (not on the account created during purchase).
Now when i text UNLOCK to 611611 i get the below response.
"Welcome, our records indicate you are using your own device. If you are experiencing some issue, please contact the manufacturer where you originally purchased the device."
however, when i try a different carrier sim, it does not activate.

Interesting, deal required port so getting a new number isn't right.
If their records show you're using your own device the phone usually won't unlock later since it should already be unlocked. I had no trouble using a GV number (others didn't either) so something wasn't done correctly.
As has been mentioned numerous times here the phone is locked to the sim sent by TbyV - no other carrier sim will work without service/activation & 60 days, there was no reason to even try it.
IMO your only option is to get support to fix it since it wasn't activated correctly -
do any other long time users have another idea?
Main problem I see with the iPhone 11 is it launched in 2019. It came with IOS 13. I believe Apple only supports phones for 6 versions of iOS. iOS 18 comes out this year. iOS 19 comes out next year. After that your phone not only doesn't support 5g but your phone isn't supported unless there is an emergency security fix update. So you are basically buying a phone that has only 2 years of life left and after that it is upgrade time again.

Really cheap price so its good enough for people who want a budget iPhone (instead of Android) -- its not like you're paying full retail cost and its only 60 day wait for unlock
Phone is good enough for basic users or for trade in -- in 2 yrs iPhone 13 will be cheap enough to upgrade to for budget users

Also can be sold for more than original $100. It's a good way for android users to try out an iPhone without spending a fortune.
BTW, I was able to get 15% cashback from a site that can't be mentioned here so my total was $107.55 (incl. CA tax) - $16.13 = $91.42. Waiting on phone delivery so I haven't yet paid the $3 to unlock the GV # for porting so I guess $94.42 total out the door.

Tagging on to oregon14, call the support #, have your order info ready and explain, if you don't get someone knowledgeable, call 1-888-442-5102, which is the unlock department. I know, counter intuitive, however, the people there I have had them fix a similar problem, and others, the people at that number seem to be very capable.
For creating a new google voice account , should I use my personal current number to verify it or should I get a burner number and use that instead .Will that cause any problems or future port in issues?
