The iPhone 11 is very old at this point, I wouldn't recommend anything older than the iPhone 12.

I had an iPhone 11 up until 2023 and the main issue was that the chip would get crazy hot. Battery was also affected by that

I was using an iPhone 11 like 6 months ago and it was behaving totally fine. Disagree that it's not usable right now, and the battery life will be right up there with the 12 whose battery life was natively poor.

So what's the unlocking process or term? Is smart pay credit check based? Just curious

On a straight trade? Not a chance. Maybe on a bill credits deal.
Yeah, straight trade. Black Friday. I've personally done these deals so I know they exist.

Not sure if it was already mentioned, but as another option, they also have available the iPhone SE (3rd gen) 64GB for $99 + plan.

iPhone SE (3rd gen) has the slightly newer A15 chip.

Thanks, this is tempting as a backup phone for me and my wife in case either of our iphone breaks and need a temp unit. I like the 5G and newer A15 for longer support over iPhone 11 but if I have to use it for more than a week, I would still go with iPhone 11 at this point. I wish SE3 has face ID, really don't know if newer auth apps will still support touch ID auth?

To people who want a second phone but the second line discount is not showing up as $30 - you need to chat with them and ask to activate Disney+. While doing so - they will fix your first line and then you can place an "add a line" order with all the discounts.

If you chat about "add a line" first - they will tell you that you can't stack up the discounts.

Pretty sure it's controlled by Total, they're the one requiring the 60 day lock. Once sim is activated the IMEI is registered.
so if i activated on the website and my line shows active (port complete), is there a way to tell (on sickw, perhaps) if the phone will be unlocked even if I leave it unopened?

typically you text "unlock" to 611611 and it will tell you the date. Otherwise I suppose you can call/chat with them.

My order was placed on 5/3 for two phones. They arrived on 5/5. The first phone was activated on 5/7, and the second phone was activated on 5/8. When I text unlock to 611611, it shows the unlock date for the first phone as 7/3/2024, and the unlock date for the second phone as 7/3/2024. So looks like they go by the order date and not the activation date.

Without opening the phone.. if there is a marker on sickw that indicates activation, that's good enough.

Hope TbV won't change the unlock policy from 60 days. Looks like metro by t-mobile has changed their unlock policy from 180 to 365 days

hi all,

I'm trying to port a couple of T-mob post-paid phones to this deal. But NOT getting the verification code on either of them. Does T-Mob block these? Anyone else had the same issue? Any workaround?

If you're trying to order on a phone, try a desktop or laptop.

Where did you see the Metro change? The 60 day unlock thing was part of the contract for the merger with Tracfone et al, so unlikely to change.
