The iPhone 11 is very old at this point, I wouldn't recommend anything older than the iPhone 12.

I had an iPhone 11 up until 2023 and the main issue was that the chip would get crazy hot. Battery was also affected by that
This is a 4G phone
I was using an iPhone 11 like 6 months ago and it was behaving totally fine. Disagree that it's not usable right now, and the battery life will be right up there with the 12 whose battery life was natively poor.

I was wondering when i sign up it requires me to text to the number i want to port but when I activate it won't ask me that and i can just choose a number? the texting to the number that I want to port is only to begin ordering process?
When you receive the phone and start the activation process online, it will give you two options. "Keep my phone number" or "get new number". You can just choose get new number and the next step will ask you something like turn phone off the back on again. Once you finalize activation steps online. Restart the phone with the Sim card in it and give it a few minutes (after going through initial setup). You'll soon see the signal bars refresh and you'll be all set with a new number. Then text Unlock to 611611 (might have to do it twice) and you'll get a text telling you your unlock date. Remember, the text is showing information direct from the Apple servers as it states in the wiki, so you'll be all set after that.

Plan is supposed to be included on sim & applied at activation when activating (always use included sim).
If not you should have the confirmation email showing you purchased a plan so call support & make them fix it.
Call TBW CS 2 times, chat 1 times. None of them know what to do? My port phone # (Trackfone still active in the original phone (make call, text, internet), loggin trackfone website and the phone line shows already ported/deactivated). I don't even what carrier carry this phoen number anymore.

If you're attempting to port a TF number to Total that might be the problem. Was mentioned in the first few pages it wouldn't port since they're basically the same company. Did you talk to the department that handles porting? Maybe they can find out what's going on.

Sad to say that support isn't always consistent between reps, might not have known what they were doing.

When you place the order they only ask for phone number and text a confirmation code -- it doesn't start any port process b/c you haven't given any port info

When you go through online activation then they ask for port info (account number/pin/carrier) which will start the actual process -- if you couldn't activate the phone then you haven't started the port process yet

I see the Samsung A54 with this same plan now on the website?

Was able to order the A54 for $49.99 plus the $50 plan.

You can also sign up for My Rewards which can give you points which can be redeemed. I earned 5000 points on my first line which adds another month to my service.
PM me for my steps
Be aware of the provisos.
When will my points become available for Adding Lines?
Awarded points will take 60 days to process. Existing line(s) and new line(s) must be active for pending points to become available.

Yeah, that's a good point. You won't be able to use the points until after two months of service, so you'll need to buy at least a second month of service if I remember correctly (unlike for unlocking). And I can't recall for sure, but I believe that some posts from past threads have stated that points may not vest until day 61 or so and the line still needs to be active at that point (but I can't remember all the details on it or if maybe it was one of the other sister companies like TF or ST). I just recall that it hasn't seemed worthwhile to go for points in quite some time unless you're planning to keep the service for a while anyway.

You remember correctly, it'll take three payments to be able to use them.

I guess I'll have to look at the fine print and do the math. I did the referral which got me 5000 points and added a line which netted me another 5000 points.

Hoping to use them to extend line#1 at least for 2 more months.

How about switching to lesser plan in month#2 for a line in case I need to spend money or letting a line hang one without renewal for a few days to hit the days mark? I hate to lose the 10000 points

Sorry if this has already been addressed. I got the phone in yesterday, unlocked the Google Voice number, and started the port. On totals website it says in progress, on Google Voice the option to lock the number back has disappeared.

I was planning to just wait and see, however it turns out that I missed a call from Total last night but they didn't leave a voicemail.

I called them back, waited on hold for a while, eventually talked to someone and they said they'd need to transfer me. While waiting for someone else to pick up the call dropped.

Just wondering if I need to try calling back or if it will likely finish on its own after a few days and I can just wait it out?
