Just FYI, these are static pressure fans, meaning they are most efficient at moving air through radiators and thick heat sink. If you are mounting on the case without any radiators or heat sink, buy something else that isn't static pressure.

They say/claim: "Optimal blend of airflow and static pressure: Enables use as a PC case, radiator or CPU cooler fan"

I mean of course they claim that, manufacturer's always make deceptive claims. Technically none of that is a "lie" per-se, what is the optimal blend, all fans are physically capable of being placed anywhere. The original commentor is somewhat correct. A lot of people talk about Air Flow vs Static Pressure fans being best in certain circumstances if you want to optimize cooling/noise. There are some contradicting evidence out there on when Air Flow vs Static Pressure are better however. I personally have Noctua's NF-A14 (should be airflow fan) pressed up against my thick arctic freezer ii 280 rad.

No. It's a radial fan, not a blower. You can't change physics.

No one is changing physics, however you can change and engineer fans that are optimized for certain situations. I'm just saying that it's more efficient for these fans to be mounted against a radiator because they are static pressure optimized design. Which is meant as a radiator fan or CPU cooler fan.

The design of axial fans means that they do not create very much static pressure. You can tweak the shape and number of blades but the improvements in static pressure are very minor compared to just using something like a radial fan.
My point being that you can use this no problem for a regular case fan.
Of course I forgot to place the order and the deal is dead anyway

Gotcha, I was about to place an order for these during the time when the deal was live, but I ended up buying the Arctic P12 (5 packs). I bought two of those to replace 10 fans that I have, and they are amazing so far! Very silent. If you are in the market for fans should definitely research those or read some reviews.
