6C batteries = 9 volts. I save old transformers and redneck engineer them into battery operated things like this from time-to-time.

You can also buy a 12 -9v converter for $10. But that defeats the savings here.

Queen size appears to be available.

I have an air pump for my raft, so it should work out fine. I would mostly use it for camping anyway.
