How do folks who have CSR or CSP feel about Chase's travel portal? I find that while I can get a 50% bonus on point redemption, the stuff is usually marked up a bit so that I'm not getting that amazing of a deal in reality. For example, the price might be 10% higher than I could get on Priceline or directly through the airline/rental car company/hotel, so it makes it more like a 35% bonus.

For me, the math on the CSR is becoming hard to justify. The lounge benefit is losing restaurants, the annual fee increased, I don't get a ton of value out of the DoorDash benefit. This is probably my last year, but I might be enticed by another signup bonus like this.
i hardly if ever book directly on the travel portal, not great value because like you said, prices arent the most competitive. i typically use it to transfer points to air france or southwest if i see a good deal with the airlines directly.

The banker was supposed to start a general credit card application for you. He takes your info (name, DL, etc) and pulls up any existing info on you (if you have other accts there). Then he enters that you want to apply for a credit card --- then all the credit card options for you will list out, along with their SUB. Those are the credit cards & SUB you qualify for. That's what my experience was like (as I stated I wasn't sure if I was out of 48mo or not). Sorry your banker/experience was bad.
he pulled up my account but for some reason he couldnt find CSP, he showed ink and slate but not sapphire. He didnt know maybe it was a glitch in his branch. Confused

Hyatt has the best transfer value per cent in comparison to other hotels but majority of the time it's worthwhile to transfer to airlines.

Granted I did score an 0.08/pt with a Hyatt booking I did recently which was amazing for a hotel.
Sure, but my point is that the transfer value per cent is based on Hyatt's prices, which in my opinion are highly inflated relative to comparable hotels, which in reality makes it actually not as good of a deal as people make it out to be.

All I'm saying is the values are completely subjective. People need to determine for themselves what's most valuable for them.

Absolutely love this card- the only annual fee card I'll keep. Also, I'm not sure about the SD rules for threads like this, but I'm willing to split the $100 refer bonus 50/50 with anybody who wants a link.
The old SD rule was nothing of more than $5 of value traded in posts, haven't read the rules in 10 years though 😁

I don't see the 85k promo online. Is that in branch only?

Thought I saw some above say it's 85k online now.

This was a Sapphire card customer rep on the phone. I asked that very question several times as I've read the same quoted text... she was insistent that it's SUB per card. Not sure I believe it but might try later on this year.
The rep could be right or maybe that rep reset it for you as an exception. Who knows but I would find it more likely you were misled rather than you got an exception on your account. Try checking it yourself by finding the date got the sapphire bonus (at most 3 months from credit card approval) and count off 48 months from then. If it's been less than 4 years, prepare for a fight.

Is there a specific credit score required for this or a certain period of credit history?

I'm sure I did not get an exception. Surprising, how adamant she was. But I'll have a chance to find out later on.

Because he probably pulled up a business account. Sapphire cards are personal.
