Not only are the parks better, cleaner, friendlier, and more advanced, they're also much cheaper as of now. You could EASILY fly to Tokyo and spend 4 days there for less than a trip to WDW, no problem. Popcorn is around $2.50 USD. Tickets around $65 each. Stay at the Sheraton on the monorail line for cheap (and you can use Marriott Bonvoy points to do that for free). I've been twice in the past year and there is no comparison. The only downside is buying an extra suitcase, because you will be buying more gachapon and TDL souvenirs than you ever thought possible.
Plus you get the added benefit of the freshest sushi on Earth for $20 for a meal and get to visit the best city for tourists right now (although crowded, admittedly). Lastly, you could duck to Osaka to Universal Japan as well, which is another wonderful park. Or stay in Tokyo and see Sanrio Puroland for a Sanrio indoor theme park, which is so bad it's wonderful.
I would, however, avoid Tokyo Disney in June when they open Fantasy Springs, and it's too hot. TokyoDisney Sea will be a madhouse unless you just don't care about the new huge expansion.
You'll spend more at DL here because you'll need to purchase Genie+ if you want to ride more than 4 rides in a day. That adds another $120+ for a family of four, and that's the business model they're nickel and diming you with on this 'deal'.
Really, consider going to Tokyo instead of the US parks. Disneyland is pure trash and WDW is a beer-gut farm. I've had a Disneyland annual pass since 1990 (except when I worked at WDI), and this year I gave it up. Universal is eating their lunch.
but if it makes you feel more comfortable with my information, you can read it from disney park blogs [go.com] (not my source, but a source).

I'm not suggesting traveling to Japan just to go to Disney (unless you're an Uber Disney fan), but the price difference really puts the ridiculous ticket costs of US parks into prospective. Although granted part of the low cost is due to the strong Dollar exchange rate VS the Yen.
If I'm coming from anywhere else in the country, I'd fork over more cash for the flight to go to Japan and I'd maybe break even, be able to visit JAPAN and visit one of the best Disney parks out there Tokyo DisneySea.
At least on the West Coast, ZipAir has consistent like $500 r/t flights to Japan (everyone share 1 large check in!). Nice 4-star hotels in Tokyo can be like $100. Good luck finding a Motel 8 for less than $200 around Anaheim (+ $30/night parking!)

having said that, we went 2nd week of March, I paid $119 USD for 2 adult tickets booked a month out. I stayed one station away (Shin-Urayasu) and was able to go to/from hotel mid-day. including 2 days hotel stay it cost us under $300 to go to Tokyo Disney Sea.
just be prepared to wait in long lines, the Japanese people are masters at standing in endless lines with endless patience.
Disneyland, even harder pass going to CA.
