Comes with 1 battery. You can buy 2 more with the fly more battery kit which is about $270 now, sometimes drops to $240. The battery kit is a must since the battery only lasts 15-20mins. This is a decent price for someone that lives with a lot of empty land near by that is able to fly it anytime they wish. In normal mode it can hit almost 90mph.One recommendation I have for someone starting out is to get a smaller FPV Tiny Whoop or Cine-whoop drone so you can fly it anytime around the house to get more practice. I have the DJI FPV as my first drone and I struggle finding time/places to fly the drone since I live in Los Angeles.

Hey, good info overall. Just a heads up. I've had this drone since day one. Flown it hundreds maybe even thousands of hours. Things to keep in mind.
Real world flying flight time and max speed is as follows;
Normal mode - 18-20 minutes 30MPH
Sports mode - 11-15 minutes 60MPH
Manual mode - 5-10 minutes 89MPH

Also, this is not remote ID capable so if you are planing to fly in USA. Then you may need an additional device to add on the drone. This can be purchased on Amazon for about $100. Happy shopping everyone!

You don't need to buy anything additional, you can use your cellphone plugged into the Goggles for RemoteID.

Let's also mention that you should get approval by the FAA using the Aloft Air Control app for each flight in the US. In addition, you will need your license which is very easy to get online.

It would probably just ban further purchases of it as opposed to policing possession. I don't see that happening and I don't think that's in the bill.
Any idea how would it affect product support for existing owners? Even if there's no direct restrictions on it, I can't imagine they'd have much commitment to support customers who could never buy any future products.....

I would be all over it if the Goggles were more useful But they don't support any video inputs or open standards. They only work with some DJI products. It's closed eco system hardware that locks you in with a company that has a questionable future in the USA.

It does work with the DJI 03 Air unit which can be used by just about any drone and it does have options to add analog adapters suck as the BDI Digital Adapter V2. Just about any other comparable goggles cost close to about the price of this entire kit.

I pulled the trigger, I'm going to be a beginner drone pilot. First time buying a drone that is above 5 bills. Yay! Will register with FAA to get a license too. Wish me luck!

Good luck, it's an easy test. It's a guaranteed pass.

Probably can't add DJI Care to an open box drone, correct?

If I wore VR goggles in an open field, I'd feel like someone would punch me in the stomach or worse and I wouldn't even see it coming. LoL

This is nothing like flying a real plane. You're better off getting MS Flight Simulator and some cool controls.

Technically you need to have a person next to you when you fly an FPV drone. They need to keep a look out for any incoming planes, people, or cars that you shouldn't fly near.

The DJI drones are fairly easy to fly. Unless your doing stunts or something stupid it is unlikely to crash unless you are in manual mode. In Normal or Sport mode if you let go of the controls, the drone just hovers in place. Any loss of connection or battery low event, the drone automatically returns to Home (where you took off).

You can do a video inspection with them and it seems like they'll let you get the DJI care.

Any recommendations on a tiny or cine whoop package/kit to get someone new to fpv going?
