Comes with 1 battery. You can buy 2 more with the fly more battery kit which is about $270 now, sometimes drops to $240. The battery kit is a must since the battery only lasts 15-20mins. This is a decent price for someone that lives with a lot of empty land near by that is able to fly it anytime they wish. In normal mode it can hit almost 90mph.One recommendation I have for someone starting out is to get a smaller FPV Tiny Whoop or Cine-whoop drone so you can fly it anytime around the house to get more practice. I have the DJI FPV as my first drone and I struggle finding time/places to fly the drone since I live in Los Angeles.

DJI ban could be incoming soon, just FYI. I'd be hesitant to buy in until that whole thing settles out.
Stop with the lies please. Techradar is also full of it.

Are the goggles and controller compatible with either the Avata 1 or 2?

Technically you need to have a person next to you when you fly an FPV drone. They need to keep a look out for any incoming planes, people, or cars that you shouldn't fly near.

The DJI drones are fairly easy to fly. Unless your doing stunts or something stupid it is unlikely to crash unless you are in manual mode. In Normal or Sport mode if you let go of the controls, the drone just hovers in place. Any loss of connection or battery low event, the drone automatically returns to Home (where you took off).
Yep, I was just going to write that. Unlike a "normal" fpv quad, the dji ones are really hard to crash. Just don't fly near trees or others obstacles until you get more proficient.

Any recommendations on a tiny or cine whoop package/kit to get someone new to fpv going?
I dont have personal experience with this but a lot of people like the Happymodel Mobula8. You can use a 1S battery for indoor flight or a 2s battery for outdoor, so you get the best of both worlds. I would go with the ELRS receiver and from their you can research the goggles and controller you want to get. If you decide to go with DJI goggles, then you might as well get this set since its about the price of the goggles. The only thing with DJI is the video transmitter is like $150 more than HDzero or Walksnail, so it would cost you an additional $150 more for any new drone you buy unless you plan on swapping out the DJI 03 air unit each time you use a different drone.

Shows you don't have the drone, 15 mins MIGHT happen on the first 5 battery cycles the average is more like 11-12 mins

Purchased this deal, just received it this afternoon.

Packing from buydig - not great. At least it was double boxed, but the goggle battery was not secured inside the DJI box, and the goggles were sitting with the lenses exposed to the "unsecured" space, so the goggle battery likely bounced all over the goggle lenses and the drone while it shipped.

Absolutely no documentation - no biggie, I suspect it's all online.

There is a 1 year extended warranty "credit card" thrown in the package, looks to be 3rd party, not DJI, with a registration procedure.

It looks like all the basic parts are here, but everything is packed loosely inside the major "component boxes", wires all loose/unwrapped, some small parts in zip lock bags.

Drone and goggle batteries arrived with only 1 lit power bar each, however they both appear to be charging ok so far. It appears I have all the needed power/charger cords.

Drone body itself looks to be in good shape, only evidence I can find that it might have been used is a smudge on one of the arms. No major dings/cracks/scrapes on the body or camera or sensor lenses that I can see.

Received 2 boxed sets of 4 propellers each, 8 total, with 4 each of red hub/uncolored hub (the hub colors are used to indicate clockwise/counter-clockwise rotation). So 2 full, matched sets of props. Took a close look and felt the leading edges of all the props, don't feel any nicks so they're either unused or very low use (props will invariably pick up tiny nicks from debris kicked up from landings/takeoffs).

Also received an extra hi-viz green front body shell in addition to the already mounted translucent one.

The controller looks new, however the threaded base of one of the screw-in thumbsticks is severely bent. There were 2 spares in the controller handle, so I received 4 total with 1 unusable. The controller arrived with 4 out of 4 battery lights lit.

Also received 1 extra of the screw-in goggle antennae, so I have a total of 5.

After the batteries finish charging and I get the documentation and app(s), I'll try powering it up.

Received mine yesterday:

Pretty much the same as yours except my wires looked they had never been used

Mine didn't come with:
2nd set of propellers
USB to USB C adapter
Extra set of control sticks
AC power cord. ( Brick included)

It was never registered with DJI
0 power cycles on the battery

Flew it twice. So far so good

Anyone know where to find the RID on this FPV drone?

If you're looking for the RID number to use to register with the FAA:

141581F + 14-character flight controller SN + 0 (zero)

Example, if your DJI FPV serial number is:37A1B1C00DE0FG

Then the number you provide for FAA registration is:
141581F37A1B1C00DE0FG0

See here:
https://forum.dji.com/forum.php?m...3D1&page=4

Feel free to DM me if you want to "collaborate" on DJI FPV info.

Thanks, thought I tried that but will try again.

I was still able to fly it without registering with the FAA.

Just got mine - these might be refurbished from DJI. Only reason I say that is because the one I got had an extra green shell and it looked like someone took a nosedive into a red barn or something. Just scuffed to hell and covered with red paint. The rest of the drone looks fine - I see no scuffs on the actual body or anything, so I'm genuinely not sure what's going on here.

No extras, the manual is missing. If there were A to C cords for the power brick, they weren't included. Only one set of props.

Still a good deal. Going to take it out for a test flight tonight. To comply with Remote ID laws, you have to plug your phone into the headset, so hopefully they continue updating it for the foreseeable future.

Edit: Flew great. First time using an FPV drone. Did some loops and barrel rolls. My god it's fun. It's fast as hell.

What the other person said worked for me - I saw it on DJI. In addition, you've gotta connect your phone to the headset to comply with RemoteID. Kind of a pain in the ass, but not the worst.

Did my first actual test flight tonight - everything worked, but it's a bit of a production to get into the air!

Hook cell phone up to goggles, load DJI Ifly app, turn on goggles, turn on drone, turn on controller, wait for all 4 things to sync, wait for DJI Fly app to GPS locate and verify you're not in a restricted zone, press "go fly" and then, finally, you can start the motors and take off.

Other than that rigamarole, everything worked great. I had to cut my first flight off early, before the main battery was at 50%, because the goggles battery was issuing a low charge warning. My fault for spending too much time in the DJI flight simulator app with the goggles and not recharging.

Even on my brief <5 minute flight, I loved it. The drone is stable, VERY responsive, crazy climb rate, the FPV video works great with low latency (at least a short distance away from the goggles), loved the view of my neighborhood from a couple hundred feet up!
