Even MBA M3 is botched b/c you have to *close* the lid to support dual monitors. Its not like you have Laptop Screen + 2 external monitors connected directly. It's literally a ripoff and tech reviewers trying to give excuse "This is how these processors are designed" is bs. The response/review shd be to either lower the cost or fix the design or default to M3 Pro for higher end MBAs. (The way same reviewers would have cried about any other vendor/brand)
Have this with plugable and 3 monitors + laptop screen

Again, if you are financing a 1K laptop, then you cannot afford it.. Period
Why? If you finance at 0% interest you have the laptop and that money can be earning pretty good interest or used elsewhere.

How is that an excuse? Apple decided to offer this model they way they did and offer multiple screen options on the pro models. It's their product and they get to make those calls. You can like it or not, and buy it or not, that's your choice. There's no point in whining about it.

It was a fantastic offer. I got a 13" from the same BB price matching scheme as I already have a 15" M3 Air.

Now I got 2 Airs but just me using it so I tend to switch them on/off depending on how heavy I want my bag to be lol
Which do you prefer / find yourself using more often?

This is a really solid deal! I just don't want another 15" laptop, holding out for a deal on the 14". Been eying refurbs through Apple, using their card I can do 3% back and 12 month financing. Decisions decisions!
Keep in mind it may not look like it or sound like it, but the weight difference in the Air and the pro is huge. I have a 16" MBP M1 Max, the thing with charger weighs a ton. The MBA I can throw in my bag without really noticing.

There 100% is use in whining about it. If apple knows we don't like something they won't fix it, but like 5 generations from now they will. Plus I bought an iMac M1 a couple years ago to replace my iMac 27" and thought I could hook 2 monitors up to it. unbeknownst to me I can only hook up 1. So I had to get a docking station with video in it, to get my 3rd monitor and use display link. pain in the ass as it now won't unlock with my watch. These are things people post so others know about them.

Can you explain? You hooked it up to those pluggable hubs and then connected external monitors to it? This only is for new m3 airs and not m2s?

Looking for a recommendation. Need a new laptop for college and want the MacBook Air 15". I can get this one with AppleCare for $1,881 shipped after tax. Or I can get the M3 version with 16GB, and 512GB SSD also with AppleCare for $1,849 after tax from Costco. Dropping to 512MB but gaining M3 for $50 less. Not sure which one makes more sense…

I feel like this config has been this price for the majority of its time on store shelves…
