I have 4 televisions in my home...none are 4k. The largest TV is 42". I tried a 43" 4K QLED side by side with my 42" LG 1080p. The color saturation was better on my 1080p LG. And I could not see a difference in clarity until I was 3 feet or less from the TV.
I haven't made every comparison there is to make, but I know that there is a big difference when you get a 4K TV AND a good 4K disc player with a 4K disc. Physical 4K discs are a noticeable upgrade. However, they are not all the same, either. And a good player will upscale a blu-ray to 4K, so it's not the same with every single movie. But I am glad to have a 4K OLED TV with a 4K blu-ray player and some good 4K discs.

I think it's possible the digital on these redeem as 4K? It is that only the individual versions?

The range of quality in panels/tvs in the 42" range is absolutely bonkers. You could definitely buy an entry 42" LG tv and a 42" LG OLED B3/C3/G3 and tell the difference just between those 4k panels in their own lineup. A $400 42" tv is going to be a $400 42" TV. There's TONS of premium and quality TVs where the difference is absolutely noticeable. I understand possibly in your 1 scenario, but theres absolutely a huge difference in the quality. Not to mention the average TV sold in the US is 55" with a non-negligible amount of 65-75" TVs being sold where the impact is definitely more noticeable yet.

same here. Got the email yesterday when it was supposed to be out for delivery, now estimated June 13th.
This has been a trend with a lot of my Amazon orders lately - even with prime, they go an extra 2-3 days past estimate, but this one is crazy.

Edit: got on a chat with Amazon customer service, they offered a $5 refund and will 'try to ensure it does not happen again.' I guess that's acceptable.
