Checking the Q&A… they're not waterproof. The paint peeled off after the first rain. Another said the paint cracked and peeled off after a month in the sun. Guess they're indoor chairs.

If you don't want to maintain and/or constantly move these around to avoid harsh weather, don't get these made with wood. Spring for HDPE or Polywood. It'll be more than double the price per piece compared to this, but the peace of mind is worth every penny.

edit: Costco has a deal for HDPE version for $115 in warehouse for gray, or $135 online for multiple color options

We got these and they are really good, no issues with leaving them outside…uncovered in SoCal for about 5 years now and color hasn't faded at all. Not to mention 10 year warranty!

Check the SHAPE of A-chairs before pulling any trigger. Bargain ones usually have FLAT backs and FLAT seats. Super uncomforable even with a cushion. It's worth the extra for nice curved back and curved lower seats - check the photos for side views to confirm which design it is.

Yes, the COSTCO ones for $150 on sale recently are (were) a bargain. Sister bought some and they are as nice as ones twice that price. BJ's has similar but currently $199. Hoping they go on sale soon. Holler is you see those on sale!!

Just finished building the Costco model. Its quite comfortable but there is no lumbar support. Not sure if any of these A chairs have it though

This. Get Polywood when they go on sale. I found 2 Polywood chairs at HD last year for around $100 each last May/June.
